Auto Expo 2012 Live! New Fiat Linea’s First Video Review

In our continuing coverage of the prelude to the Auto Expo 2012, CarToq.com brings you this video review of the new Fiat Linea. The 2012 Linea starts at Rs. 6.83 lakh, which is an increase of Rs. 32,000 compared to its earlier price.

The new Linea gets an integrated audio system from base version, Auto AC, ABS with EBD, new alloy wheels, airbags and Bluetooth connectivity from the mid version onwards. Fiat has improved the Linea’s ground clearance, which is now 185 mm. It also gets a better AC and efforts have been made for noise reduction on the diesel variants. The new segment features include rain sensors and auto switch on/off head lamps.

In terms of looks the new Linea looks much like the outgoing model with minor changes on the exterior. It also sports refreshed interiors with a light beige theme, comprising of fabric seats, floor carpet, dashboard and door trims.

The prices of the 2012 Linea have been increased by an average of Rs. 60,000. The petrol Linea is now available in seven variants (four petrol and three diesels). The prices of the Linea T-Jet and T-Jet Plus variants will remain unchanged while the Active and Dynamic models will now cost Rs. 6.83 lakh and 7.80 lakh respectively.

The diesel Linea will be available in Active (Rs.7.83 lakh), Dynamic (Rs.8.83 lakh) and Emotion (Rs.9.18 lakh).
