Pre-orders will open soon, and the the styling packages range from 10,000 to 15,000 rupees, depending on the version you choose. So, for under 15,000 rupees, the Bajaj Avenger can be made to look like a Harley Davidson Street 750. That’s some really affordable-wow there!

 

How so cheap?

When Bajaj launched the new range of Avengers a couple of years ago, with 150 cc and 220 cc variants, tongues began wagging on how similar the motorcycles looked in comparison with the Harley Davidson Street. In fact many began to call the Avenger the poor man’s Harley Davidson Street.

So, the base styling platform of the Avenger provides a ready canvas for a modifier like Autologue to tweak it to look like a Harley. The conversion kit includes bolt-on parts such as the headlamp cowl, the engine shroud, the seat and the tail kit. You can get in touch with Autologue Design here.

None! The Avengers’ stock 150 cc air-cooled and 220 cc oil-cooled engines, making 14.5 Bhp-12.5 Nm and 19 Bhp-17 Nm respectively, have been retained as is. The Avenger is available in Street 150, 220 and Cruise 220 variants. Prices start from 78,988 rupees, ex-showroom Delhi.

A note about the Harley Davidson Street 750

While the Avenger with the Autologue kit mimics the Harley Davidson Street 750 in terms of looks, the performance difference between the two bikes is huge. The Street 750 features a 750 cc, liquid cooled V-Twin engine that puts out 47 Bhp-65 Nm.

The bike can hit 100 Kph form standstill in under 7 seconds, while top speed is rated at about 170 Kph. In comparison, the Avenger 220 will take about 12-13 seconds for the 0-100 Kph run, while top speed is a much slower 125 Kph.

The Street 750 weighs 220 kilograms while the Avenger tips scales a much more manageable 150 kilograms. The Street 750 is priced at 4.98 lakh rupees, ex-showroom Delhi.
