Bajaj Auto has released yet another video advertisement in their “Haathi Mat Paalo” series that takes a dig at Royal Enfield motorcycles. This is the fifth advertisement of the series and like always, the new advertisement highlights the features of the Dominar motorcycle.
The advert starts with a group of people riding on the elephants asking a couple of Dominar riders to turn back because of the road is closed ahead. Post that the Dominar riders take an unmarked road through a jungle and pass through many difficult terrains including water crossing.
The riders reach the other side of the blockade, which is a fallen tree on the road. The elephant then salutes the Dominar riders. The phrase “Hathi Mat Paalo” then appears in the end. The new advert shows how capable the Dominar is in the off-road terrains.
In earlier advertisements from the series, Bajaj showed features like better brakes, better headlamps, cold ignition start and steep climbing abilities of the Bajaj Dominar in the market. Bajaj Dominar is about 10 kg lighter than the Royal Enfield Classic range of bikes. While also gets a more powerful engine than the Royal Enfield Classic bikes. Dominar is shown taking on the bad roads with ease in this video.
Earlier, a video surfaced showing Bajaj Dominar struggling to up an off-road obstacle while a Royal Enfield Himalayan, which is an adventure bike crossing the same obstacle without any problem. It must be noted that the skills of a rider greatly affect the motorcycle’s capability. Every year thousands of riders on Royal Enfield motorcycles take on one of the toughest roads in the world to Ladakh.
Bajaj Dominar is selling around 2,000 units per month while Royal Enfield Classic series has sales of more than 50,000 units per month. The Dominar is the most expensive product from the Bajaj brand and is sold as a touring motorcycle. The bike is powered by a 373cc engine that is derived from the engine of 390 Duke. The liquid-cooled engine generates a maximum of 35 Bhp and 35 Nm. It gets fuel injection, four-valve head with triple spark plugs.
The Dominar also gets disc brakes as standard and dual-channel ABS as an optional feature. The motorcycle is priced at Rs. 1.44 lakh for the non-ABS version and Rs. 1.58 lakh for the ABS version in the market.
