Bajaj offers free insurance on Platina, Discover 125, V12, V15, Pulsar 135, 150, 180, NS 160 & Avenger 150 motorcycles

Bajaj Auto is now offering free 1st year insurance on a range of commuter motorcycles sold in India. This offer will be valid only until the 15th of January 2018. While buying each of these bikes, buyers will essentially get a discount that’s equivalent to the cost of the 1st year insurance.

Here is the exact insurance cost rebate that each of these Bajaj commuter motorcycles will get. Platina: Rs. 1,300. Bajaj V12, V15 and Pulsar 135: Rs. 1,500. Pulsar 150, 160 NS and 180: Rs. 1,700, Rs. 1,800 and Rs. 2,000. Avenger 150 Street: Rs. 1,700. Discover 125: Rs, 1,400.

This discount scheme from Bajaj Auto is meant to boost sales of its commuter bikes. Commuter motorcycle buyers in India are extremely price conscious, and could be swayed towards Bajaj bikes due to the latest offer. Currently, Hero MotoCorp and Honda Two Wheelers lead the commuter bike segment in India by a big margin.

Bajaj is planning to launch the refreshed 2018 range of Discover commuter motorcycles on the 10th of January. The insurance rebate is not likely to be offered on the refreshed range. So, if any of you plan to buy the Discover with insurance rebate, you’ll have to buy the pre-refresh version.

Apart from the refreshed Discover range, Bajaj’s next big launch in India is the 180cc Avenger – a cruiser with its engine borrowed from the Pulsar 180. The Avenger 180 has already been spied testing on Indian roads, and will be launched within the next few weeks.

Bajaj is not participating in the 2018 Indian Auto Expo. This also means that the Pune-headquartered two wheeler maker will launch many of its 2018 bikes before the Auto Expo. Other major launches from Bajaj are expected to happen in the second half of this year.
