Humble Bajaj Pulsar 135LS transformed into expensive Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 [Video]

Bajaj Pulsar 135, which was the most affordable motorcycle from the Pulsar range was discontinued in the Indian market quite sometime back. However, the bike is still around with many. The Pulsar 135 was aimed at the youngsters who did not want to spend too much on the bike but wanted to own a Pulsar branded model. It should be noted that the Pulsar brand has a huge fan following in India.

The motorcycle that is seen here on video by MotoMahal shows that motorcycle from all around. The Bajaj Pulsar 135LS, which was priced at around Rs 60,000, which less than half the price of a brand-new Yamaha YZF-R15 V3. Nonetheless, with the modification cost, the value Pulsar 135LS must be quite close to the new R15 V3. There are several modifications that have been done to the bike to give it the Yamaha R15 look.

The changes include alteration of the chassis too. Since the stock Pulsar 135LS offers twin suspension set-up and this one offers a mono-suspension, the chassis has been updated to accommodate the change. The bike gets parts from various other motorcycles. The rear suspension, for example, comes from a Honda Unicorn. At the front, the fairing comes from Yamaha R15 V3.0. The headlamps are not stock and there are angel eyes installed to add a bling look. Even the fuel tank of the bike is from Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0, which completes the look of the bike and makes it truly look like an R15.

The seats of the Bajaj Pulsar 135LS have been modified to make them split seats. At the rear, a lot of things have been changed and new tail tidy has bee installed. The bike also gets new tail lamps. The rear tyre is much wider than the stock Pulsar 135LS, which makes it like true R15. Other changes include alloy wheels from the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 and golden coloured front forks. To top it all, there is an aftermarket exhaust installed on the bike. The exhaust note is not on the video so we are not sure how exactly it sounds on the roads.

While a lot of changes have gone to transform the motorcycle from a humbler premium commuter segment bike to the entry-level track tool, the engine remains the same. Both Bajaj Pulsar 135LS and the Yamaha R15 V3 are powered by a single-cylinder engine. However, the R15 gets a much more advanced and powerful set-up and it is liquid-cooling too. Apart from the looks, the Yamaha R15 gets an advanced Deltabox frame, which makes it an excellent bike to handle on the roads and the track.
