Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS Adventure Edition motorcycle showcased

Bajaj Auto has showcased an adventure edition of the Pulsar 200 NS motorcycle at the Istanbul Motor Show held in Turkey. Based on the fuel injected version of the Pulsar 200 NS, the adventure edition gets a few changes that make it better suited for touring and going off the road. In terms of various changes, the motorcycle gains a metal mesh encased headlamp, an engine guard, knuckle guards, auxiliary lights, pannier stays, a luggage carrier and aluminium bits on the headlight and radiator, and a Navigation device mounted on the handlebar.

The Pulsar 200 NS with fuel injection features a 200cc, single cylinder engine that’s liquid cooled. Peak power is rated at 24.48 PS while peak torque is rated at 18.6 Nm. A 6 speed manual gearbox is offered. Bajaj offers disc brakes on both wheels, alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, telescopic front forks, a monoshock rear suspension and a split seat layout as standard. Single-channel ABS is offered on the carbureted version of the motorcycle. Soon, all variants of the Pulsar 200 NS will get the ABS option.

It’s not clear if Bajaj Auto will launch the adventure edition of the motorcycle in India. If anything, the Dominar 400 could gain the various adventure bits that Bajaj has fitted to the Pulsar 200 NS. Such a version of the Dominar could be perfect for dealer-level accessorization. Even if Bajaj doesn’t build something like this, the adventure edition should inspire a bunch of enthusiasts to build their own custom variants of this motorcycle – both for the Pulsar and the Dominar. In fact, many enthusiasts in India have already built ADV variants of the Dominar.

The Pulsar 200 AS, a touring focused model, did not do well in India. This makes it unlikely for the Pulsar 200 NS adventure edition to make it to the Indian market.
