Benelli India launched their entry level adventure tourer motorcycle TRK 251 in the market. Benelli’s all-new adventure tourer, TRK 251 is the newest member of Benelli’s TRK series motorcycle. Price for the all-new TRK 251 motorcycle starts at Rs 2.51 lakh, ex-showroom. Benelli India has started taking the pre-bookings of the TRK 251 with a minimum booking amount of INR. 6,000. Like other motorcycles in TRK series, the 251 also gets an adventure-oriented styling. The styling is quite aggressive. The design of the TRK 252 include imposing front fascia with beak, chunky front suspension, LED headlights, integrated turn indicators, muscular tank, plush twin seats, ultra-comfortable riding ergonomics, visible steel trestle frame and upswept chrome exhaust pipe. The motorcycle also comes with adjustable brake and clutch levers, and a 5V USB charging point as standard.

Benelli TRK 251 draws power from a 250-cc, four-stroke, single cylinder, fuel injected engine. The engine churns out 25.8 PS of peak power at 9250 rpm and 21.1 Nm of peak torque at 8000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This is the same engine that is also seen on Leoncino 250, which is a neo-retro motorcycle.
One of the main advantage of TRK 251 is its fuel tank. It gets a massive 18 litre fuel tank which translate to lesser fuel stops and uninterrupted ride hours. Other than this, Benelli also offers 170 mm of ground clearance. The front gets chunky looking upside-down forks. It also gets a fully digital instrument cluster that provides all the necessary information that rider needs. Benelli is offering TRK 251 in three colour options. There is Glossy White, Glossy Black and Glossy Grey.
Adventure tourer motorcycle segment became popular in the country very lately. We currently have Hero Xpulse, Royal Enfield Himalayan, KTM 250 Adventure, KTM 390 Adventure in the affordable adventure tourer motorcycle segment. TRK 251 will be the newest member in this group. There are expensive motorcycles from BMW and Triumph available in the market also.
The Benelli TRK 251 will compete with Royal Enfield in the segment. Benelli will be offering a 3-year unlimited kilometres as standard with TRK 251 motorcycle. In coming months, more motorcycle are likely to hit Indian market. Royal Enfield has been testing their Himalayan based Scram 411 motorcycle and there are also spy shots of a adventure motorcycle from Yezdi. Both these motorcycles- scrambler and adventure tourer are likely to be launched in the market next year.
