When contemplating luxury and opulence, the name Bentley often springs to mind. Bentley, renowned for crafting some of the world’s most expensive automobiles, stands as a beacon of luxury in the automotive realm. Presently, the most extravagant luxury car in India happens to be a Bentley. Recently, in Bangalore, the Bentley Mulsanne EWB Centenary Edition, valued at a staggering Rs 14 crore, was spotted. This exclusive limited edition Mulsanne belongs to V.S. Reddy, the managing director of one of India’s largest medical nutrition manufacturing companies, British Biologicals.
Captivating images of the car have been shared on Instagram through the popular car spotting page, Car Crazy India. From these pictures, we are treated to the elegant sight of the car parked in front of the main gate of the building. The Bentley Mulsanne, for those unfamiliar, served as the flagship sedan for the British automaker, although it has since been discontinued. During its availability in India, the standard model was priced at approximately Rs 6 crore. However, the special edition model owned by V.S. Reddy stands as one of the most distinctive and expensive models ever produced by Bentley.

As the name suggests, the car is the Bentley Mulsanne EWB Centenary Edition, crafted by Bentley to commemorate its 100th anniversary. The EWB designation refers to the Extended Wheelbase, offering greater space and comfort to rear-seat passengers compared to the standard Mulsanne. The Centenary Edition, limited to just 100 units worldwide, epitomizes rarity and exclusivity. It comes in three distinct exterior colors: Centenary Gold, Centenary Black, and Centenary White.
The Centenary Edition boasts special centenary badging, including a unique grille badge, wheel center caps, and treadplates, all adorning its exterior. The interior is a testament to luxury, featuring exclusive embroidery and piping on the seats, along with special veneers and centenary badges throughout the cabin. The Bentley Mulsanne EWB was meticulously designed to offer unparalleled comfort and luxury for passengers occupying the rear seats. The power-reclining rear seats, embellished with diamond quilting stitching in rare hide leather, can be heated, chilled, and ventilated for optimal passenger satisfaction. Adding to the grandeur, a beautifully crafted picnic table resides within the center console at the rear. The EBW model boasts a rear center console, allowing passengers to control the seats and access the glass cabinet situated between them. For utmost privacy, curtains grace the side and back windows, while the vehicle is equipped with lambswool-finished floor mats.
Powering this opulent automobile is the renowned 6.75-liter V8 engine, capable of generating 506 horsepower and 1020 Nm of torque. Coupled with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, the Bentley Mulsanne EWB can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 5.5 seconds, reaching an impressive top speed of 296 km/h.
