Bigg Boss 16 participant Shiv Thakare won the hearts of many Indian car fans after he decided to buy a brand-new, made-in-India Tata Harrier as his new car. Unlike most celebrities who prefer to go for a European luxury car after making it big in the entertainment industry, Shiv Thakare choosing a Tata Harrier as his new set of wheels was appreciated by many.
Shiv has purchased the Tata Harrier in its much loved Red Dark Edition and has shared a few pictures and video of himself taking the delivery of the new SUV at a Tata Motors showroom. Shiv also posed with his newly-purchased Harrier in front of a few media photographers while taking the delivery of his new SUV. The Tata Harrier Dark Edition bought by Shiv Thakare is his first all-new car, after he has owned two pre-worshipped cars in the past.
Talking about the experience of buying a new Tata Harrier, Shiv Thakare said that he has always used and driven second-hand cars in his entire lifetime. The Harrier Red Dark Edition is his first all-new car which he purchased with his hard-earned money. Shiv says that while he knows that the Harrier is not a Mercedes-Benz, the SUV is much more valuable to him.

Skeptical about the fuel efficiency
According to Shiv, he was also sceptical about the fuel efficiency of an SUV as big and imposing as the Tata Harrier. However, he added that his friends advised him not to worry much about the fuel efficiency of an SUV which costs Rs 30 lakh. After unveiling and taking the delivery of his new Tata Harrier, Shiv Thakare was seen performing a ritual of ‘pooja’ of his new SUV at the showroom. Being a strong believer and worshipper of Lord Ganesha, Thakare said that he will head towards the Siddhivinayak temple to seek blessings of ‘Bappa’.
While taking the delivery of his new Tata Harrier, Shiv Thakare also mentions that he was missing the presence of his mother during the delivery process. Shiv wanted his mother to be a part of the delivery process, but for some reason, she was unable to make it to the delivery ceremony. However, she accompanied Shiv in the delivery ceremony virtually through a video call. Shiv also added that he will soon take his new Harrier to his hometown in Amravati, where his mother will do a more proper ‘pooja’ of the new vehicle.
The version of the Tata Harrier purchased by Shiv Thakare is the all-new Red Dark Edition. It comes with a few red highlights on the exterior, thus adding a nice contrast to the all-black paint scheme. On the inside, the new Harrier Red Dark Edition gets all-red leather upholstery and new features like memory and welcome function for the powered driver’s seat, an all-new full-TFT instrument console and a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
