Biker Falls Into A Sinkhole That Appeared Randomly On Road
The condition of road infrastructure in India is improving every year. However, it has still not reached a level where people can expect flawless roads despite paying an exorbitant amount of taxes. Even when there is a slight bit of rain, a lot of poorly built roads start showing defects, and some even form dangerous sinkholes as well. Recently, a video showing one such sinkhole in Kanpur, in which an unsuspecting bike rider fell, has gone viral on the internet.
Bike goes into random sinkhole in Kanpur
This video showing a biker falling into a sinkhole has been shared on Instagram by Meri Shan Kanpur on their page. In this short clip, what happens is that a person was recording the Allenganj road in Kanpur. The video shows that right in front of a Bharat Petroleum fuel station, a sinkhole had appeared during rainfall.
We can observe that this sinkhole was surrounded by a few bricks and a branch with leaves to alert incoming two-wheeler riders and four-wheeler drivers. However, despite these obstacles and people standing near this sinkhole, a bike was seen coming and going directly into this hole. It can be noted that the bike completely went inside this hole, and the rider fell ahead.
Thankfully, the rider was wearing a helmet. However, we can see that this rider was checking his arms for any more injuries. It appears that he was not very seriously injured. But if he had been at a slightly higher speed, he would have suffered a lot more injuries. Now whether more riders fell into this sinkhole or not has not been reported.

A number of netizens had a mixed reaction to this short viral video. A lot of people sympathized with the bike rider; meanwhile, a few netizens laughed. There were a lot more netizens who started questioning the quality of work done by the government contractor who was assigned the construction of this road. They questioned how such a new road could have this huge sinkhole out of nowhere.
Not the first time
This is not the first time that we have seen a biker falling into a hole on the road. Just a little while ago, a video became viral on the internet in which an innocent bike rider was falling on the road after his bike went inside a massive pothole. This particular incident was reported from Moga, Punjab.
What happened was that a man was riding his bike just behind a Honda City in the city of Moga. Unfortunately, he could not note that there was a massive pothole on the road which was initially covered by the passing sedan. As a result, when the car passed, it was his turn to cross it.
He could not cross it, and then his bike's front wheel went inside this pothole. This man was seen falling face down on the ground. However, soon after this, he was seen in shock as his entire bike was inside the pothole along with him. When the Mayor of Moga was told about this incident, he stated that he was not aware of this pothole. He added that soon after he was informed about this incident, he sent a team to repair the road.
