India as a market holds a lot of potential for two-wheeler manufacturers, and that is one of the reasons why we see many international brands eyeing India and launching new models at aggressive pricing. Over the years, the market has also matured, and many young buyers are purchasing expensive sports and superbikes and scooters. Recently, Japanese two-wheeler brand Honda launched their maxi-scooter, the X-ADV, in the Indian market. This expensive scooter has now found its first customer, and a video of the same has also surfaced online.

The video has been shared by Megh Bhardwaj on his Instagram page. The video mentions that this is India’s first Honda X-ADV scooter to be delivered to a customer. The scooter was officially launched in the market in May this year.

In the video, we see the customer unveiling their brand-new scooter at Honda’s BigWing dealership. As this is a premium product, Honda is selling it through select Honda BigWing dealerships only. After unveiling the scooter, the customer takes part in cake-cutting and other celebrations. After finishing the paperwork, the customer is seen riding the scooter home from the dealership.

The exact location is not known, but it looks like a dealership in the Delhi NCR region. The Honda X-ADV maxi-scooter is actually a premium model from the manufacturer. It gets a very unique design that looks like a mix of an adventure bike and a scooter.

The X-ADV scooter from Honda is powered by a 745cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine producing 58.6 PS and 69 Nm of peak torque. The scooter gets a large 13.2-litre fuel tank and, just like any scooter, it gets a decent 22 litres of underseat storage as well.

As this is a maxi-scooter, it looks huge, and the scooter gets 17-inch tyres at the front and 15-inch at the rear. It has a seat height of 820 mm, which is tall for a scooter. It also gets knobby-looking tyres, twin disc brakes at the front, and a single disc at the rear.

The Honda X-ADV also gets a 41mm USD fork at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock with 150mm travel at the rear. The Honda X-ADV has a ground clearance of 165 mm, which makes it suitable for adventure. In terms of features, Honda is offering a 5.0-inch TFT display, keyless ignition, switchable traction control and ABS, cruise control, and multiple rider modes – Standard, Sport, Rain, Gravel, and User.

The scooter, as mentioned above, is powered by a 745cc twin-cylinder engine. This engine is mated to a DCT gearbox. This scooter uses the same gearbox as the Honda Africa Twin and Gold Wing. The Honda X-ADV scooter is available only in a single variant and two colour options. It is priced at an ex-showroom rate of Rs 11.90 lakh in India.

As mentioned earlier, it is available via the BigWing Topline dealerships across India and competes with the BMW C 400 GT, which is slightly less expensive than the Honda.
