The budget adventurer tourer segment in India does not have much contenders, especially at a price close to Rs. 2 lakh. This is exactly where the Yezdi Adventure fits in. Earlier today, the iconic Yezdi brand launched the updated 2024 version of their adventure tourer, the Yezdi Adventure. Read further to know about the changes and other details of the motorcycle.
Let’s talk about the price first. The brand has priced this motorcycle very competitively with a starting price of Rs. 2.09 lakh ex showroom. The higher trim sits at 2.2 lakh. An interesting bit is that this price is less than the current price of the bike which means that the bike has been updated and undergone a price cut simultaneously. The booking for the Yezdi Adventure were open for quite some time now.
Mr. Ashish Singh Joshi, CEO, Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, speaking about the motorcycle said,
The Yezdi Adventure has always embodied perfect balance, born to conquer any terrain. Now, we’re redefining that balance. We’ve put in our new Alpha2 liquid-cooled engine, retained the six-speed gearbox, while adding crucial features like switchable ABS modes. But here’s where we truly disrupt: we’ve created the perfect trinity of bold design, advanced features, and an unbeatable performance. We have now added another layer of disruption with the price. So now, this isn’t just an upgrade – it’s a category revolution. I’m certain the new Yezdi Adventure will dominate as the ultimate choice for serious adventure riders. It’s not just a motorcycle; it’s the new benchmark in its class.
The Yezdi Adventure is powered by an all-new Alpha2 334cc liquid-cooled engine. This engine, which is the second generation model of the previous motor, produces a peak power output of 29.6 PS and a torque output of 29.9 Nm. While outputs haven’t changed, Jawa-Yezdi say that a lot of work has gone into the motor to make it more durable and refined. This engine is paired with a 6 speed transmission.
The motorcycle will be sold in four colorways which are a part of the update. Additionally, the bike gets new decal panels and color options which includes Tornado Black, Magnite Maroon, Wolf Grey, and Glacier White.
Now, let’s talk about off-road focused details. The Yezdi Adventure gets a new slump guard and a ground clearance of 220 mm for better off roading capabilities. With the update, the jerry can mounts are now integrated into the main cage. This may not sound like a significant upgrade but this allows better balance and maneuverability.
The Yezdi Adventure does not lack in terms of features as well. The adventure tourer comes equipped with a long list of features that includes an onboard USB charger, Bluetooth connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation.
The budget adventure tourer segment does not have many contenders right now but is a growing space. In the Indian market, the Yezdi Adventure will rival players such as Royal Enfield Himalayan, BMW G310 GS, KTM Duke 390 Adventure, KTM Duke 250 Adventure and Bajaj Dominar. However, most of these motorcycles are priced significantly higher than the Yezdi Adventure.
