Ather Energy has launched the 2025 Ather 450 series in the Indian market with notable updates and reworks. Prices now start from 1.30 lakh and go up to 2 lakh, ex-showroom for the range-topping 450 Apex. The updated lineup gets a bunch of new features, better safety tech and more range. Bookings are now open.
2025 Ather 450 Series: Key Details
There are no notable design changes on the updated model. It, however, gets 2 new colours- Hyper Sand and Stealth Blue. These are available across the portfolio. The 2025 450X and 450 Apex also get traction control with 3 different modes- Rain, Road, and Rally.
The new electric scooter range also gets the Magic Twist feature. This lets the rider use the throttle to both accelerate and decelerate. A normal twist will make the vehicle accelerate while a reverse twist will activate aggressive regen and make the scooter decelerate. This is more or less a ‘single pedal riding’ tech.
Another change is the new Operating System- the Atherstack 6. It now features improved Google Maps, Alexa integration, and supports WhatsApp notifications. The 450 Series now comes with MRF Zapper N e-tread tyres.
The new range continues to be powered by 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh battery packs. But these now offer higher range figures than before. The 450S comes just with the 2.9 kWh battery pack and delivers up to 105 km of true range in Smart Eco mode. This is 15 km more than the old scooter.
What’s New On Ather Stack 6?
To start with, the interface and response have both been improved. Ather Stack 6- the latest iteration of Ather Energy’s operating system now comes with the option to share Live location. It has Google Maps integration with improved precision. You can also control audio, call and music through the touchscreen and can even access Whatsapp on dash. There is even Alexa skills integration and ping my scooter function.
Battery, Range And Charging Time
The updated Ather 450X comes with the choice of 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh batteries. The true ranges of these are 105 km and 130 km respectively, in Smart Eco mode. These are 15 and 20 km higher than the numbers offered by the previous scooter. The range-topping Apex’s 3.7 kWh battery now gives a range of around 130 km per charge- which is 20 km more than before.
With the 375W charger, the 450S can be charged to full in 7 hr 45 mins. With the 700W charger, the 450 X (2.9 kWh) takes 4 hours and 30 minutes, while the 3.7 kWh version takes 5 hours and 45 minutes. The Apex too has similar charging times.

2025 Ather 450 Range Motor Specifications
The electric motor on the revised 450 series continues to produce the same power and torque as before. The 450S churns out 5.4 kW and 22 Nm. The 450X makes 6.4 kW and 26 Nm while the range-topping Ather 450 scooter has 7 kW and 26 Nm on offer. The new Ather does the 0-40 kph sprint in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 90 kph.
