The majority of actors and actresses in the industry lead a lavish lifestyle. Expensive cars, bikes, and mansions are all part of their way of life. However, we often come across videos where they are seen in unexpected places or using inexpensive cars or bikes. Recently, several videos surfaced showing celebrities ditching their expensive cars and taking the metro to beat Mumbai traffic. Here, we have another video where Bollywood’s Big B, Amitabh Bachchan, is seen riding a humble Hero Splendor bike. Wait. Is it actually Mr. Bachchan? Watch the video to find out.

The video was shared by Shashikant Pedwal on his Instagram page. In the video, we see Mr. Bachchan along with a pillion rider on a Hero Splendor motorcycle on public roads at night. However, upon closer inspection, you’ll realize it is not Amitabh Bachchan but his lookalike. His name is Shashikant Pedwal, and he is known for his striking resemblance to the actor.
This is not the first time Shashikant has posted a video like this on social media. The pillion rider on the bike is also a social media influencer, and they collaborated for this video. In the video, the duo is seen acting out the popular Bollywood song “Ye Dosti Hum Nahi Chodenge” from the classic movie Sholay. Amitabh Bachchan’s doppelganger is seen riding the bike on a narrow two-lane road at night. The video is being recorded by a cameraman traveling in a car ahead of the bike.
Shashikant Pedwal wrote, “This video is only made for entertainment purposes, with no intention to hurt anyone’s feelings. *Please wear a helmet; this video is only for shooting purposes. We don’t support any illegal activities. Be careful, be safe.”
Shashikant is highly popular on social media, boasting over 1.8 million followers on Instagram. We appreciate the fact that Shashikant included a disclaimer in the caption section of this video. However, neither Shashikant nor the pillion rider is wearing a helmet in the video.
We understand they might have omitted helmets to capture their faces and expressions in the video. However, that is not a strong excuse for not wearing a helmet. Helmets are extremely important for two-wheeler riders. In the event of an accident, a helmet can save the rider and pillion rider from severe head injuries.
They were clearly riding on a public road, and riding a two-wheeler without a helmet is an offense. The original video of the song featured Dharmendra as Veeru, riding a 1942 BSA 500cc motorcycle with Amitabh Bachchan’s character, Jai, in the sidecar. This scene became iconic, cementing the friendship anthem for all Indians.
As mentioned above, Shashikant is not merely acting but living like Mr. Bachchan and has posted several similar videos. Last year, he shared another video on his social media profile where he was seen taking delivery of his brand-new Tata Safari SUV. When the video initially circulated, many people believed Amitabh Bachchan himself had purchased a Tata Safari.
In the video, Amitabh Bachchan’s doppelganger stands in front of his new vehicle, which is covered in a red cloth. Shashikant unveils the SUV by lifting the veil. He captioned the video, “Ek Sapna …Jo Aaj Pura Hua TaTa Safari New Model” (A dream… that has finally become a reality. Tata Safari New Model).
