When it comes to jobs, one of the hardest jobs is that of the traffic police authorities. They have to stand on the roads no matter how hot or cold the weather is. Additionally, in the last few years, the summers have become hotter, making the life of traffic police authorities even more difficult. To help the traffic police officers, Gujarat police have now started offering them helmets with AC units. Yes, you heard that right, and the video showing this innovative gadget has been shared by Anand Mahindra himself.

Recently, a video of a traffic police personnel from Gujarat wearing a helmet with AC has been shared on X. This comes courtesy of Mahindra chief Anand Mahindra. In this video, a police officer can be seen wearing a helmet with an AC unit attached.
Anand Mahindra shared this post with a caption stating, “An invention which cools his head but warms our hearts…” He added, “Because the finest motivation for innovation is to lighten the burden of those who work tirelessly to improve the quality of OUR lives….”
What is this AC helmet?
This particular helmet is the Karam PN629 Aironic air conditioner helmet. It retails for Rs 16,299. It comes with a visor that can be deployed by the user to protect the eyes from dirt and dust. As for the cooling system, it comprises a fan and several other components to keep the internal temperature under control.
So far, these helmets have been provided to a few traffic police officers around Gujarat for testing. Additionally, some of the cities in West Bengal have also provided these AC helmets to their traffic police authorities for testing.
As for the reviews by the police officers, they have highlighted that this is a very useful innovation. It helps them stand in scorching heat and do their duty without sweating. They added that the helmet provides them with clean, cool air, and with the visor, their eyes are also protected from the constant pollution they are exposed to.
Ather Halo Smart Helmet
Earlier this year, when the Ather Rizta family electric scooter was launched, the Bengaluru-based electric scooter maker also launched its range of Halo Smart Helmets as well. The Ather Halo Bit smart helmets start at Rs 4,999. Meanwhile, the full-face Halo helmet has been priced at Rs 12,999. These are pre-order prices, and they will increase after these helmets are officially launched.
These futuristic-looking helmets come with Harman Kardon speakers, ISI and DOT certification, and noise cancellation. They connect to the Ather scooters via Bluetooth, allowing riders to receive calls and listen to music. They also have a unique chit-chat feature in which the rider and the pillion can easily talk via their helmets.
Man gets fined for not wearing a helmet inside a car
Just a few days ago, a unique incident was reported. What happened was that a man named Tushar Saxena, hailing from Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, was sent a fine of Rs 1,000. The fine was sent because he was not wearing a helmet while driving his car.
Saxena also highlighted that he has never driven his vehicle in the Gautam Buddh Nagar district, where Noida is located. He first ignored the fine; however, after receiving follow-up, he went to the traffic police department. They then mentioned that it was issued because he was not wearing a helmet while driving his car.
While speaking to the media, he stated, “The challan was issued on November 9, 2023. If you are violating traffic rules, then it is common to receive a fine, but that is not my case. I have never driven my car to the NCR area. And if there’s any rule that says we have to wear a helmet inside a car, then the authorities must give this to me in writing.”
