Salman Khan’s Barber Aalim Hakim Becomes First Celebrity To Buy BMW CE-02 Electric Scooter

The popular celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim, who is known for styling Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan, and Hrithik Roshan, has recently bought himself an expensive BMW electric scooter. Aalim Hakim has chosen the BMW CE-02 electric scooter, which is worth Rs 4.5 lakh. A video showing the delivery of this unique electric scooter from BMW Motorrad to the celebrity hairstylist has been shared online.

This delivery video comes courtesy of BMW Motorrad Thane on their page. It starts off with Aalim Hakim arriving at his academy in his Mercedes-Benz V-Class premium MPV. He arrived for the delivery with his family, including his wife and two sons. The video then shows all the family members on the porch, where the new BMW electric scooter was parked with a veil on top.

Soon after this, Aalim Hakim stood behind the BMW CE-02 electric scooter, and his wife and kids were standing on both sides. Finally, the hairstylist pulls the cover off the scooter, and his sons start the snow spray, and a party popper goes off. We can see that all family members enjoyed this delivery.

Aalim and his wife then pose with the new BMW CE-02, and they are handed the keys and a bouquet. Finally, the whole family cuts a cake in front of the scooter. The video then shows a few beauty shots of the electric scooter, and it concludes the delivery.

BMW CE-02 electric scooter

As mentioned, the BMW CE-02 is an all-electric scooter from BMW Motorrad, which is the motorcycle division of the German luxury carmaker. This particular scooter starts with a price tag of Rs 4.5 lakh, which is very high when compared to other premium electric scooters in the country.

The BMW CE-02 boasts a unique design. Its highlights include a rectangular LED headlight with a windscreen. It also has a raised handlebar, large monoblock-style alloy wheels, gold shock absorbers, and other premium elements. This electric scooter is based on a double-loop frame made of tubular steel.

It weighs around 142 kg, and it is manufactured in India and has been designed from the ground up. As for the features, it comes equipped with a 3.5-inch TFT instrument console, Bluetooth interface, and SP Connect smartphone holder. Other features of the BMW CE-02 include a USB-C charging socket, keyless ride, reverse mode, and power-saving mode.

BMW also offers the CE-02 electric scooter with Flash riding mode and two other riding modes, including Flow and Surf. The EV scooter also gets ABS, stability control, and recuperation stability control.

Powering the BMW CE-02 is an 11 kW electric motor. It can do a sprint of 0–50 kmph in just 3 seconds and reach a top speed of 95 kmph. All the power is sent to the rear wheels. As for the battery, it comes equipped with a 3.9 kWh battery pack, which offers a range of 108 km (as per ICAT).

The celebrity hair stylist has also shared a video on his Instagram profile in which he can be seen enjoying his first ride on the BMW CE-02. Hakim can be seen wearing a helmet and riding the CE-02 on the busy roads of Mumbai.

BMW F 450 GS coming soon

In other BMW Motorrad news, the company is planning to launch one of its most affordable adventure bikes, the F 450 GS, in India. This motorcycle will come equipped with a 450cc twin-cylinder four-stroke engine, which will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The motor will make about 48 bhp of peak power and around 45 Nm of peak torque.
