Ola Electric, India’s leading electric two wheeler company, has created a special version of their best scooter – the S1 Pro Sona. This new version is very special because it has real 24-karat gold parts and comes in two beautiful colors. Check out a video of the Ola S1 Pro Sona below.
Looks And Design
The S1 Pro Sona looks very special. The main body is white like a pearl, and the bottom parts, including the area around the headlight and front mud guard, are beige-ochre in color. Many parts of the scooter have real gold plating, such as the brake levers in front, the mirrors, the rail for the back passenger to hold, the footrests, and the stand. The word “OLA” and a special “Sona” writing in Hindi are also made with gold. The seat is made of high-quality dark beige leather with golden thread stitching.
Tech Specs
The Sona limited edition scooter has the same features as the regular S1 Pro. It can travel up to 195 kilometers on one charge and go as fast as 120 kilometers per hour. It can reach 40 kilometers per hour in just 2.6 seconds. The motor is very strong with 11 kW peak power (5.5 kW regular power) and uses a 4 kWh battery. It takes 6.5 hours to fully charge, and the scooter weighs 116 kilograms.
The scooter has many modern features. It has a 7-inch screen that connects to your phone and offers four riding modes: Eco (for saving power), Normal, Sport, and Hyper. It has LED lights and special braking that helps save power. It also has features that help you ride up hills, maintain a steady speed, and even go backwards. There is a big storage space under the seat that can hold 34 liters.
How To Get One? The #OlaSonaContest
You cannot buy the S1 Pro Sona directly. Instead, Ola Electric is running a contest called #OlaSonaContest. To try to win one, people need to take a photo or make a video with an Ola S1 Pro outside an Ola store. They must tag Ola Electric and use #OlaSonaContest. Winners will be chosen through a scratch-and-win game at Ola stores on December 25, 2024. By this date, Ola will have 4,000 stores across India.
Ola Electric is doing very well in sales. In October 2024, they sold more than 50,000 vehicles and had 30% of all electric two-wheeler sales in India. They registered 41,605 vehicles in October, which is 74% more than October 2023. They are selling well because more people are buying electric vehicles, especially in smaller cities, and because they offer many different vehicles. Ola Electric is the first Indian company to sell more than 400,000 electric vehicles in one year, and they have sold more than 775,000 vehicles since they started in December 2021.
The S1 Pro Sona is a special scooter that combines new electric technology with beautiful design. While it works the same as the regular S1 Pro, its golden parts and limited numbers make it very special for collectors.
Ola’s Roadster EV bikes
Ola has also started making electric motorcycles called the Roadster series, which they showed for the first time on August 15, 2024. There are three types: Roadster X (basic model), Roadster (middle model), and Roadster Pro (best model). The prices start from Rs 74,999 and go up to Rs 2.49 lakhs. The Roadster Pro is very powerful and fast, reaching 194 kilometers per hour. People can get the Roadster X and regular Roadster from January 2025, and the Roadster Pro will be available during Diwali 2025.
