The Chennai-based bike manufacturing giant Royal Enfield recently launched the all-new Bear 650 in India. This new rugged off-roader has been launched with a price tag of Rs 3.39 lakh. Royal Enfield, in order to keep the retro aesthetic, offers the Bear with spoked wheels which come with a tube tyre setup. However, for dedicated off-road lovers, it is an issue. To solve this issue, Dismotech from Bangalore is offering new tubeless spoked wheels.

Tubeless spokes for Royal Enfield Bear 650
If you are an avid biking enthusiast, then you know that all spoked wheels come with a tube and tyre setup. Earlier, when tubeless tyres were not as prevalent and not many bikes were offered with alloy wheels, these tubeless tyres were a lot more common. However, once they get punctured, repairing them is more difficult than tubeless tyres.
To help the buyers of the Royal Bear 650, which also comes with tubed spoked wheels, a company named Dismotech from Bangalore, Karnataka, is offering new tubeless spoked wheels. The company is offering two types of tubeless spoked wheels at the moment.
The first are the Cross-X spoked wheels, which are priced at Rs 45,000. These are available in sizes – 19X250mm and 17X350mm. On the other hand, the company is also offering factory Bear 650 spoked wheels which have been sealed with precision to make them compatible with tubeless tyres.
For this, the company is using a special rubber seal from Superseal to completely close off all the holes from the spokes.
Why are tubeless spokes better?
If you are still wondering why tubeless spoked wheels are better, there are a number of reasons. The main one is that they reduce the weight of the wheel, which in turn helps in improving the handling and performance of the bike.
Along with this, tubeless spokes help in maintaining the strength of the spoked wheels with the added benefit of easy repair. Lastly, with tubeless spokes, riders can ride their bikes with low air pressure and get a better grip on various terrains, which is not possible to do with tubed spoked wheels.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 with tubeless spokes launched
Earlier in September, Royal Enfield launched the all-new Himalayan 450 with tubeless spoked wheels. The company announced that these wheels are available as an optional extra for a price of Rs 11,000.
Internationally, Royal Enfield offers the Kamet White variant of the Himalayan 450 with tubeless spokes. Meanwhile, all the other variants get them as an optional extra. However, in India, the standard bike is sold with tubed spokes, and it is an optional extra for all variants.
Royal Enfield Bear 650
As mentioned earlier, Royal Enfield recently launched the Bear 650. It is based on the Interceptor 650 and comes equipped with the same 650cc parallel-twin engine. This motor generates a maximum power of 47 bhp, and torque is rated at 57 Nm.
The more off-road-oriented Bear 650 is offered with long-travel USD front forks at the front and gets conventional rear springs. Braking duties are fulfilled by single disc brakes at the front and rear, with dual-channel ABS. It also gets a single-pod TFT console that supports smartphone compatibility and navigation.
