Actor-Turned-Investor Dulquer Salmaan Spotted At Ultraviolette F77's Europe Launch

India's own performance electric motorcycle brand Ultraviolette Automotive has just gone global! The company has launched its F77 range in 10 European countries, becoming the first Indian electric two-wheeler brand to do so. The F77 range currently has two models- the F77 Mach 2 and its street-focussed sibling- F77 Street. It is now available in Germany, France, the UK, Ireland, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Dulquer Salmaan, the famed Indian actor, is also an investor and early supporter of the manufacturer. He was spotted at the European debut, going vocal about his journey with the brand.
"I'm so excited. I don't think we ever expected to go global so soon. This is like a dream launch" said Dulquer Salmaan. He further added that he was part of Ultraviolette's journey from a very early stage- precisely from when the bikes were mere drawings on paper.
The European debut was organized in Paris, against the backdrop of the Eiffel tower. Commenting on the same, the actor said " It's such a great venue. It's a great city and country to showcase India (and its products) on a global stage"
The actor attended the launch with his eight-year-old daughter Maryam Ameerah Salmaan. She was seen joyous and excited for the motorcycles' global debut as well.
If you remember, the first-generation F77, when it was launched, had bespoke numbers on them. The bike wearing the '001' number belongs to the actor-turned-investor himself. The actor had previously shared a picture of him sitting on the F77 with his daughter, trying to teach her the basics of it. The kid seems to be an enthusiast like her dad.
Talking about the actor's epic time with the brand, Ultraviolette founder Narayan said ' For those who don’t know, Dulqer Salmaan is actually the first backer/supporter/investor in Ultraviolette and what a journey it’s been. From trying to sync time to ride the F77s to finally riding around Paris - truly unforgettable.'
First launched in 2022, the Ultraviolette F77 range has a strong focus on performance. The Mach 2 that came later marked the second generation of the F77 platform. Now, the F77 has two models- the Mach 2 sports bike and the SuperStreet street bike. Both feature the same 10.3kWh battery pack.
The electric motors on these are capable of producing 40 hp and 100 Nm of torque. Interestingly, the European spec get no mechanical changes. Even the powertrain outputs are identical to those of the ones sold in India.
Both the F77 Mach 2 and Superstreet share the same underpinnings but differ sharply in their designs and rider triangles. They are both equipped with a lot of electronic aids and safety tech like dual ABS, traction control, and selectable regenerative braking.
Celebrating the launch, Ultraviolette is offering limited-time pricing for European buyers. The F77 Mach 2 has an introductory base price of 8,990 Euros, while the Superstreet starts at 9,290 Euros. These translate to 8.9 lakh and 9.2 lakh rupees respectively (1 Euro= Rs 99.3).
These prices, however, apply only to buyers who pre-book these bikes by July 31, 2025. Post this date, the prices will shoot up to 9,990 euros (Rs 9.92 lakh) and 10,390 euros (Rs 10.32 lakh) respectively.
For obvious reasons, the India prices of these electric bikes are much lower. Both the F77 Mach 2 and Superstreet start at Rs 2.99 lakh, ex-showroom for the 7.1 kWh variant and goes up to Rs 3.99 lakh for the 10.3 kWh variant. We are not sure if the company would offer the smaller battery pack in European markets.
Europe is a mature market for electric vehicles as well. Thus, it remains to be seen how it would react to a product like the F77. It would be a major milestone for an Indian EV brand if its product manages to satisfy and cater to the evolved expectations and quality standards of European buyers.
