Both the bikes are currently made in India and are exported to many international markets. However, BMW Motorrad delayed the Indian launch because there are not enough BMW Motorrad showrooms in India to reach the mass segment customers. The bikes will be sold through BMW’s existing Motorrad dealerships in India. According to a report, the sales and service training for the new bikes will be held between June 22 and June 29. The training program will focus on the sales and service training of the dealerships that will handle both the new bikes in India.

Both the bikes share a lot of cycle and engine parts with the TVS Apache RR 310. All the three bikes are co-developed by the brands. The Apache RR 310 is the fully faired version while the G 310R is the naked version. The GS 310R is the adventure version. All the three motorcycles are powered by the same reverse inclined 310cc, single-cylinder engine. In the BMW twins, the engine produces a maximum of 34 Bhp and 28.4 Nm. Both the bikes get a 6-speed manual transmission.

There are a lot of features as standard on both the upcoming bikes. Features like the upside down front forks, mono-shock rear suspension, disc brakes on both the wheels and ABS are standard. While the GS 310R is off-road focused, it gets a different suspension tuning than the G310R to make it more suitable for the rough terrains. Both the bikes are expected to get a price tag of around Rs. 4 lakhs, ex-showroom, that makes it quite expensive.
