BMW X3 petrol SUV launched in India

BMW India has introduced the petrol version of the X3 SUV in the Indian market. It was available only with a diesel engine option in the market till now. The premium SUV now gets a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that is also available with the 3-Series and 5-Series sedans. This is a locally manufactured product and is priced at Rs. 56.9 lakhs, ex-showroom, Delhi.

The XDrive30i variant of the Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) gets 252 Bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque. It comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission that distributes power to all the four-wheels through the xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The heavy-weight SUV can do 0-100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds.

BMW introduced the all-new X5 in India with an only diesel variant initially. The SUV gets a longer wheelbase than the previous generation vehicle, which ensures extra cabin space. It also gets larger chrome radiators, two-tone underbody protection in two different colours, chrome air-intakes and 19-inch alloy wheels. It also gets fully adaptive LED headlamps and LED fog lamps in hexagonal design. The SUV gets LED tail lamps in the rear and chrome-tipped exhaust pipes on both the ends. There is also an automatic electric tailgate in the car.

On the inside, the new X3 xDrive30i offers leather upholstery with contrast stitching. It also gets wooden trim all over the vehicle. There is the gesture-controlled iDrive 10.25-inch infotainment system on the inside which gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also gets a heads-up display and a 360 degree camera.
