In July this year, Ayushmann Khurrana bought a Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 for himself. Now, the Bollywood actor was spotted in the same luxury SUV. The video is uploaded on YouTube by Cars For You. We can see Ayushmann at the airport getting out of the Maybach GLS600.
Mercedes-Benz brought 50 units of the Maybach GLS600 to India as Completely Built or CBU units. All of them were sold immediately. This is surprising considering the ex-showroom price of the luxury SUV is Rs 2.43 Crores. It is important to note that this price is without any customizations and options. Being a luxury manufacturer Mercedes-Maybach offers a plethora of customizations and options to its customers.

The GLS600 is not the only luxury car that Ayushmann Khurrana owns. His garage includes Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Audi A6 saloon and a BMW 5 Series. Moreover, he is also the brand ambassador of the Toyota Urban Cruiser which is essentially a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza compact SUV.
Being such an expensive SUV, the options that Mercedes offers are also very expensive. Most of the options cost as much as a new vehicle. For instance, there is a Free Driving Assist option that is priced at Rs. 13.84 lakhs. If you want the interior with a piano black finish then you would have to pay Rs. 12 lakhs. The heated interior package costs Rs. 25.90 lakhs. You can also get a rear refrigerator that can store champagnes and flutes. It is priced at Rs. 4 lakhs. The theft protection with interior monitoring is priced at Rs. 10.70 lakhs. There are several other options that a person can choose from.
Mercedes-Benz has equipped the GLS600 with a 4-litre V8 petrol engine that has been twin-turbocharged and is derived from AMG engines. The engine is capable of producing 557 PS of max power and 730 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The power is transferred to all four wheels for better traction.
Moreover, there is also a 48 Volt mild-hybrid system that produces an additional 22 PS and 250 Nm of instant torque. The mild-hybrid system provides a boost under circumstances like hard acceleration and while overtaking another vehicle. It can hit a ton in just 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 250 kmph.
GLS600 needs all this power and torque because it weighs a massive 3.2 tonnes. It has a length of 5.2 metres, a width of 2.1 metres and a height of 1.8 metres. The wheelbase measures more than 3.1 metres. So, needless to say, that GLS600 is a humongous SUV.
Being the flagship SUV of Mercedes-Benz, the GLS600 comes with all the bells and whistles that a person can imagine. There is Nappa leather upholstery, open-pore wood inserts, dual 10.25-inch screens, panoramic sunroof, ventilated and massaging seats, ambient lighting and a lot more.
As standard, you get 22-inch alloy wheels, but you can upgrade to 23-inch ones. At the rear, there are two captain chairs that are airline-style. So, you can recline them. There is also a pillow for the headrests for the rear occupants.
