Bollywood actor Bobby Deol’s latest ride is a luxurious Range Rover Sport SUV

Film critics may have panned the Salman Khan-starrer Race 3, but the movie’s collections tell a different story. Happy with the success of the movie, co-star Bobby Deol, who has been in the limelight for playing an important role in the movie, has gifted himself a swanky new Range Rover Sport worth Rs 1.2 crore.

Bobby seems to have a thing for high-end vehicles. Other notable cars in his garage include a Land Rover Freelander2, Range Rover Vogue, W221 Mercedes-Benz S-Class S550 and a Porsche Cayenne. The Race 3 actor has purchased the 3.0-litre Diesel variant of the British SUV. Powered by a 3.0-litre SDV6 engine, this SUV offers a maximum power of 289 bhp and a peak torque of 289 Nm. The Land Rover Range Rover SUVs have been the choice of many Indian celebrities. Famous Land Rover SUV owners of India include the Ambanis, Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt.

The latest iteration of the Range Rover Sport was launched in India in April this year. The new version is said to be more feature-laden and more comfortable than its earlier generation. Prices start at over Rs. 1 crore and go all the way to Rs 2.04 crore for the top-end model. The latest version of the premium SUV is available with a choice of Diesel and Petrol units. The base diesel engine is a 3.0-litre V6 turbocharged diesel motor that outputs 289 bhp of maximum power along with a peak torque of 600 Nm. There’s also a 4.4-litre V8 turbo-diesel engine that outputs 335 bhp and 740 Nm.

The base petrol engine is a 3.0-litre supercharged V6 motor that outputs a maximum power of 335 bhp along with a peak torque of 450 Nm. The most powerful engine that’s on offer is a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol unit. This motor outputs 503 bhp and 625 Nm. All the motors come mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission as standard.
