Bollywood actor Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter Shanaya Kapoor buys new Audi Q7

Actor Shanaya Kapoor has just bought a new Audi Q7 SUV. She is the daughter of Sanjay Kapoor, who is a famous Bollywood actor. The Q7 is priced between Rs. 79.99-88.33 lakh (ex-showroom). It seems like Shanya opted for black colour so that the SUV looks subtle on Indian roads but still the colour would not be able to hide the road presence that the Q7 has.

Shanaya will be making her Bollywood debut with the upcoming movie Badhakak produced by Dharma Productions. Other actors in the upcoming movie will be  Gurfateh Pirzada and Lakshya Lalwani. Badhakak is directed by Shashank Khaitan.

Audi is using a 3.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid powertrain for the Q7. It produces 340 PS of max power and 500 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. There is no diesel engine on offer. Audi is offering its Quattro all-wheel drive as standard with the Q7.

It can hit 100 kmph in 5.9 seconds and has a top speed of 250 kmph. There are also 5 drive modes on offer. There is Dynamic, Efficient, Individual, Auto and Comfort. Because there is air suspension on offer, the car can also alter the stiffness of the suspension when you change the drive mode.

Variants and Prices

There are two variants of the Q7 available in India. There is Premium Plus which is priced at Rs. 79.99 lakhs. Then there is the top-end Technology which is priced at Rs. 88.33 lakhs. Both the prices are ex-showroom.

Rivals

Audi Q7 competes against the BMW X5, Volvo XC90, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Land Rover Range Rover Velar, Land Rover Discovery Sport and Jaguar F-Pace.

Design

For the past few years, Audi has been emphasizing on their grille and that is evident when you look at the Q7. Up-front, it has a huge grille with a chrome surround. Audi always does unique looking headlamps and tail lamps and this stands true for the Q7 also. The headlamps get Matrix functionality and dynamic turn indicators.

The side profile is quite clean with simple lines and a chrome beltline that runs along with the windows. At the rear, there are LED tail lamps and a faux skid plate. The Q7 comes with two sets of tail lamps. The main unit is placed on the tailgate and the second set is placed in a slim strip in the bumper. The strip only works when the tailgate is open.

Features

Being an Audi, it is quite obvious that the Q7 comes loaded with features. There is cruise control with speed limiter, Lane Departure Warning, 360-degree parking camera, adaptive windscreen wipers with integrated nozzles, panoramic sunroof, B&O premium sound system, Audi’s Virtual Cockpit which is basically a digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, electrically operated driver seat with memory function and four-zone climate control. Moreover, you also get Electrically foldable third-row seats,

Exterior & Interior colour options

You can get the interior in Saiga Beige or Okapi Brown. The exterior is offered in five colour options. There is Floret Silver, Samurai Grey, Navarra Blue, Carrara White and Mythos Black.
