Bollywood director Rohit Shetty & his cars: Lamborghini to Maserati

Rohit Shetty is a well known Bollywood director. He is known for films like the Golmaal series, Chennai Express, All the Best, Singham Series, Sooryavanshi, Dilwale etc. Rohit is also an automotive enthusiast, often in his movies, there are a lot of cars and stunts involved. Here, is the list of cars that he owns.

Land Rover Range Rover Vogue

The Range Rover Vogue has now been discontinued but it used to sit below the flagship SUV of Land Rover. It boasts a special number plate that reads “555”. It is finished in a deep shade of blue and gets red accents. Previously, the SUV was finished in black with red accents which is the original colour. It was priced around Rs. 2.5 Crores. It is powered by a 4.4-litre V8 diesel engine that produces 335 bhp of max power and 740 Nm of peak torque. The SUV is mostly used by him for commuting. Land Rover has now launched the new generation of Range Rover.

Lamborghini Urus

The Urus is the latest vehicle that was bought by Rohit Shetty. He took the delivery of a yellow Urus in 2019. It is the most successful product under Lamborghini’s portfolio. It comes with a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 650 PS and peak torque of 850 Nm. . The 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission transfers the power to all the wheels. However, Lamborghini ensured that the SUV stays rear-biased so 60 percent of the power is transferred to the rear wheels while 40 percent of the power is transferred to the front wheels.  It weighs a massive 2.2 tonnes but can still hit 100 kmph in just 3.6 seconds and it has a top speed of 305 kmph. Lamborghini Urus is priced at Rs. 3.5 Crores ex-showroom.

Ford Mustang GT

Rohit Shetty owns a Ford Mustang GT that has been heavily modified. Rohit Shetty’s Mustang was one of the first Mustangs in India that was modified. It was modified by D.A. Design. The Mustang is finished in a purple wrap. There is a huge air scoop in the front that increases the amount of air that is being fed to the engine. A body kit has also been installed on the Mustang and the exhaust system has also been upgraded to Borla ones. Mechanically, there are no changes to the engine. So, it still comes with a 5.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 395 BHP and 515 Nm of maximum torque

BMW 7 Series

The daily commuter for Rohit Shetty is a BMW 7 Series, it is of the older generation. The sedan is finished in white colour and has a “555” number plate that we also saw on the Land Rover Range Rover Vogue.

Maserati Gran Turismo Sport

Maserati’s cars are quite rare to find on Indian roads. Rohit Shetty owns a Maserati Gran Turismo Sport finished in white colour. He bought it in 2018. The sports tourer comes with a naturally aspirated, 4.7-litre V8 engine that produces 453 bhp of max power and the car can hit a ton in 4.8 seconds.
