Bookings have started for more powerful Renault Kwid 1.0

Renault is all set to launch the more powerful Kwid with 1.0-litre engine. The car was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo and will be launched later this month. Renault dealerships across India have started taking the bookings and the deliveries will start in October.

The more powerful Kwid will compete with the likes of Alto K10 and Hyundai Eon 1.0. The engine produces a maximum of 67 Bhp. The car will come only with a manual transmission as of now. Renault also showcased the AMT version of the Kwid the Expo but it would not be launched within next few months. Currently, the car comes with 799cc engine with maximum power of 53.3 Bhp.

Renault will also provide safety aids like dual-airbags, rear power window and 14-inch alloy wheels in the top spec variant of the Kwid 1.0.

The Kwid became a successful product for Renault already has a long waiting period of 3-months that the company is planning to bring down to 1-month.
