Lamborghini Huracan STO came to India earlier this year with a price tag of Rs 4.99 crore, ex-showroom. This is the price of the car without any optional extras. This is one of the first Huracan STOs delivered to an Indian customer in India.

What’s so special about the Huracan STO?

The Huracan STO is based on the Super Trofeo Evo race car, which has been tweaked to make it road legal. The STO comes powered by a massive 5.2-litre V10 engine like all other Huracans. Lamborghini has not changed the output of the engine. This means the naturally-aspirated engine produces a maximum power of 640 PS and peak torque is 565 Nm, compared to 600 Nm available with the Performante. However, the Performante was an AWD car while this is rear-wheel-drive just like the race car.

Lamborghini has also updated the LDVI of the car that controls all the drive systems and the rear-wheel steering. The STO-specific drive modes are available with the car. To ensure that the car feels comfortable on the streets, it comes with adaptive dampers for a cushioned ride. Lamborghini also offers an optional nose lift function with the Huracan STO.

How fast is it?

The Lamborghini Huracan STO can do 0-100 km/h in just 3 seconds, which makes it about 0.3 seconds quicker than the RWD Evo. It can hit a limited top speed of 310 km/h! Lamborghini has designed the STO to be a track-focused car and there is a lot of engineering that helps the car to achieve that. Starting with the car’s weight, it is about 83 kg lighter than the AWD Huracan Evo. It is also 43 kg lighter than the Performante.

Lamborghini has extensively used carbon fibre with this car. So much that the car’s 75% body panels are made of carbon fibre. Only the roof and the doors are not made up of carbon fibre. The car comes with active aero systems that help to create extra downforce on the track.
