India’s first-ever electric scooter manufacturer to offer the revolutionary swappable battery technology – Bounce Infinity has commenced the test drives for its first EV scooter the E1 at four major Indian cities. These cities include Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. Prior to these cities, the company offered test rides to interested buyers in the city of Bengaluru. Bounce Infinity has made its mark on the Indian EV buyers by offering the first of its kind unique ‘battery as a service’ option. If a buyer opts for this iteration of the scooter, they will be offered the Bounce Infinity E1 without a proper battery and a charger. Instead, they will have the access to the wide battery-swapping network of the company, under which they can swap an empty battery for a fully charged one and pay accordingly. The company also claims that the running costs of the Infinity E1 can be as low as 40 per cent of conventional petrol-driven scooters. Apart from this, the higher-priced variant gets a standard lithium-ion battery as a part of the package, which is removable and can be charged anywhere.

The Bounce Infinity E1 is driven by a BLDC motor that produces 83 Nm of peak torque. The scooter can go from 0 to 40 km/h in 8 seconds and reach a peak speed of 65 km/h. The scooter has two different riding modes: Eco and Power. The scooter comes with a 48V 39 Ah lithium-ion battery that provides roughly 85 kilometres of riding time under normal conditions. The Bounce Infinity E1’s chassis is constructed with a tubular frame with telescopic hydraulic forks in the front and dual hydraulic coil springs in the back. The braking system includes disc brakes on both ends and an electrical braking system that includes brake energy regeneration as standard.

Sporty Red, Sparkle Black, Pearl White, Comet Gret, and Desat Silver are the five colour options available for the scooter. The first of its kind e-scooter is offered with alloy wheels, LED headlights, taillights, and turn indicators. A digital instrument cluster and a 12-litre under-seat storage box are also included on the scooter. The scooter also offers features like a cruise control system, drag mode, geofencing, reverse mode, antitheft system and tow alert.

The new Bounce Infinity E1 as mentioned earlier comes in two iterations in the country – the one which will be provided with a battery and charger as a part of the package and is priced at Rs 68,999, meanwhile, the other one with the unique ‘battery as a service’ subscription option, is priced at Rs 45,099 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi). Both models of the electric scooter can be pre-ordered for a sum of Rs 499 and the deliveries are set to begin from this month through the company’s showrooms. The Infinity E1 comes with a standard warranty of three years or 50,000 kilometres (whichever comes first).
