Since the release of Jimny prices and the commencement of deliveries by Maruti Suzuki, owners of this off-roader have been flocking to after-market accessory and customization shops to enhance their prized possessions. One particular white-colored Maruti Suzuki Jimny, customized by New Delhi-based AM Racing, has garnered considerable attention on the internet and social media platforms, showcasing the widespread fascination with Jimny and its modifications. The modifications were done by AM Racing and the car belongs to Achintya Mehrotra.
AM Racing has shared several pictures and videos of the customized white Jimny on its social media channels. The vehicle has been equipped with after-market wheels, tires, and suspension components.
The owner of the Jimny Zeta model opted for ENKEI Japan RPT1 alloy wheels in a striking golden color, replacing the stock 15-inch steel wheels. These twin 5-spoke alloy wheels have been fitted with Continental Cross Contact AT all-terrain tires.

Moreover, this white Jimny boasts comprehensive modifications to its suspension system. It now features a TANABE Japan coilover kit with adjustable height and damping capabilities. This allows for raising the vehicle’s suspension and adjusting its stiffness through a 14-click adjustment dial as per the requirements. Additionally, the Jimny has been equipped with front and rear lateral rods, a steering damper, and a front strut brace, all sourced from TANABE Japan.
Cost about Rs 4.5 lakh

These modifications made to the Maruti Suzuki Jimny are visually impressive and claim to elevate the off-roading experience to a whole new level. However, it is important to note that such modifications come at a significant cost. The four Enkei RPT1 alloy wheels alone amount to nearly Rs 1.45 lakh, while the tires account for around Rs 50,000. The steering damper, front strut brace and front and rear lateral rods cost Rs about Rs 27,000 to Rs 29,000 each, which amounts to about Rs 85,000. The height and damping adjustable suspension cost Rs 1.45 lakh. Import and installation costs add up to almost Rs 1 lakh, resulting in a total modification expense of nearly Rs 5.5 lakh. All prices are subject to variation due to price rise, forex fluctuations and international freights.
While these modifications undoubtedly enhance the aesthetics and driving experience of the Jimny, it is crucial to consider that they void the vehicle’s standard warranty. Installing after-market accessories and components, whether mechanical or electrical, negates the warranty provided by the manufacturer.
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny was launched with a starting price of Rs 12.74 lakh and is available in two variants: Zeta and Alpha. Both variants come equipped with a 1.5-liter 105 PS petrol engine and the AllGrip Pro four-wheel drive system as standard. The options of 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmissions are also offered.
