If Tata Harrier Replaces Hindustan Ambassador For Indian Government Officials: What It’ll Look Like

SRK Design Tata Harrier limo render

When it comes to the cars used by the Prime Minister and President of our country, we generally see them being driven around in armored luxury cars. There are a number of bulletproof luxury cars in the government of India’s fleet, including the Mercedes Maybach S650 Guard, Range Rover, Land Cruiser LC200, and a number of others. However, what will happen if the leaders and bureaucrats of our country start using armored versions of popular Indian cars? Well, this is exactly what this talented digital artist thought and created a render for a bulletproof stretched Tata Harrier.

Bulletproof Tata Harrier for Indian bureaucrats

The making of the first bulletproof Tata Harrier for Indian bureaucrats has been shared on YouTube by SRK Designs on their channel. The video starts off with the creator selecting a stock photo of a Tata Harrier finished in red. Following this, he copies the image and extends the rear end of the Harrier. He then starts the long and tedious process of perfectly merging the two pictures to make it look like one stretched limousine version of the Tata Harrier.

The creator adds and perfects a number of body lines to make this render as real as possible. He can be seen creating new B and C pillars for the extended window. After this, he gives the windows and pillars the blacked-out treatment and adds thick chrome garnishes to make it look more luxurious, like Mercedes Maybach sedans and SUVs. Following this, he changes the color of the entire car to black from red. Lastly, he adds finishing touches like the Indian flag on the front fender and Maybach-style monoblock brushed silver wheels. Finally, he changes the background and shows a finished product.

PM Narendra Modi’s Rs 12 crore Mercedes Maybach S650

For those who may not be aware, back in 2021, the Special Protection Group (SPG) acquired a brand-new Mercedes Maybach S650 Guard for the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. The car, which costs Rs 12 crore, was chosen for its extremely high levels of protection required for the most powerful person in the country.

The S650 Guard features a VR10 protection level, considered the highest-ever protection level offered in a production-spec car. The made-to-order luxury saloon is capable of withstanding hardened steel core bullets and protecting the occupants from TNT blasts from a distance of 2 meters. SPG has acquired two black-colored units of the Mercedes Maybach S650 Guard for security purposes.

The Mercedes Maybach S650 Guard acquired by the SPG comes powered by a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine. This massive engine makes a maximum power of 523 bhp and a peak torque of 830 Nm. Prior to this sedan, the PM used to be driven around in a BMW 7-Series High Security.

At the time of purchase, the opposition Indian National Congress stated that the S650 Guard acquired for the Prime Minister was a heavy and unnecessary expense. They mentioned that the Prime Minister has changed his official ride five times since 2014, when Modi was elected as the Prime Minister for the first time. The INC also mentioned that instead of selecting a locally manufactured vehicle, the SPG chose to go for a German-made S650 Guard for the Prime Minister’s safety. This move contradicts Narendra Modi’s ‘Make In India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ campaigns.
