The coronavirus lockdown has forced all the car dealerships across India to shut down. To overcome the problem, Hyundai, the second-largest carmaker in India has now come up with a unique solution to offer cars to the customers through an online platform. Hyundai claims that this is India’s first end-to-end solution to buy cars online. Hyundai has connected over 500 dealerships for the new platform across India and the car can be bought without visiting the showroom.
Hyundai launched the pilot of “Click to Buy” with a limited number of dealers in Delhi and then after getting successful feedback, they increased the number of dealerships. All the Hyundai models including the Santro, Elite i20, Grand i10 NIOS, Aura, Tucson, and newly launched Verna and Creta are also available to buy online. The platform is connected to all the dealerships across India in real-time and provides convenience to all the new-age buyers who prefer doing things online.
Commenting on the Pan India Integration of Car Retail Platform, Mr SS Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India, said,
“Hyundai has pioneered the digital sales arena in India with ‘Click to Buy’ that is India’s first online sales platform offering the new-age digital customer a seamless and convenient option to remotely purchase new Hyundai cars from the safety of their homes. Over the last decade, retail sales has been witness to a paradigm shift with new-age customers heavily inclined to online purchase of products. With pan India integration of Dealerships under ‘Click to Buy’, Hyundai is offering its tech-savvy customers a transparent and easy way of purchasing their favourite Hyundai cars. He also said, “The ‘Click to Buy’ platform will act as an additional sales channel for all our Dealerships across India thereby creating additional opportunities for remote interaction with customers and facilitation of sale even during periods when customers are unable to visit showrooms.”
The new Click To Buy portal allows customers to register themselves and choose the desired model. The customer can even customise the car through the online configurator and select everything including the interior colour and exterior colour. Hyundai also says that existing bank customers will get easy finance options online. If you looking for assistance, Hyundai also offers a dedicated personalised assistant who can be with you to see through the whole process. The car can then be picked up from the desired dealership or the customer can opt for delivery at home. With the new process, we are sure that many prospective customers will choose the online method.
