Design and features: The Maruti Suzki Fronx’s design bears the Nexa’s ‘Crafted Futurism’ mark, and is built on the Heartect platform. The front of the car has a large radiator grille, black cladding on the wheel arches and sides, silver skid plates, and roof rails. The Fronx sports creases all over, giving it a sculpted look. Besides, it has LED multi-reflector headlamps and LED tail lamps with a light bar connecting them, LED DRLs and 16-inch alloy wheels.

Engine and performance: The Maruti Fronx is available with two engine options: a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol Boosterjet engine, and a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine, with both having mild-hybrid technology. While the turbo engine produces 98.69 BHP and 147.6 Nm of torque, the latter produces 88.5 BHP of power and 113 Nm of torque.

The turbo-petrol engine comes with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, while the petrol engine has a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

The Fronx moves off the line smoothly. The throttle response is good, and the car feels smooth at city speeds. Light controls make the Fronx easy to drive around in the city.
