This detailed video review of the 2025 India-bound Toyota Fortuner GR-Sport has been shared on YouTube by Kumbi-M on Cars. It starts off with the vlogger introducing the Toyota Fortuner GR-Sport, and he mentions that this particular vehicle is currently the top-of-the-line Fortuner for sale in South Africa. Following the introduction, the vlogger starts showing the exterior of the 2025 Fortuner GR-Sport. He starts at the front and mentions that the front gets a set of Legender-styled L-shaped LED DRLs and three-pod projector LED headlights. It also gets a honeycomb mesh-style front grille, and the lower grille is also the same.
Apart from this, it also gets LED fog lights, front parking sensors, and a GR-Sport badge on the front bumper. Moving on, he then shows the side profile of this SUV. He highlights that the main difference is the set of new alloy wheels. He adds that these are 10-spoke, 18-inch gunmetal grey-colored alloys, which are wrapped around in Continental all-terrain tyres.
Moving on, he mentions that the side claddings are body-colored and get a company-fitted side step, which helps in getting in and out easier. Following this, he adds the sides also get GR-Sport badges, and after this, he moves to the rear end of this Fortuner. He mentions that it looks the same from the rear. It gets LED taillights, a GR-Sport badge, and a 4X4 badge, along with Fortuner embossing on the middle section.
Following the exterior, the vlogger then starts showing the interior of the Fortuner GR-Sport. He mentions that the cabin looks the same as the standard model. However, it gets an all-black interior theme with leatherette and suede seat inserts with GR-Sport badges on the seats. Apart from these, the seats and the dashboard get red stitching.
The GR-Sport Fortuner also gets a GR badge on the steering wheel, and it now also gets a red centre line marker on the top of the steering wheel, along with red stitching. Apart from this, it gets a carbon fiber finish on the dashboard and centre console, and it continues to get the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, small MID in the gauge cluster, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
In terms of the powertrain, the Fortuner GR-Sport gets the same 2.8-litre diesel motor which makes 219 bhp and 550 Nm of torque. Currently, the Fortuner GR-Sport sold in India makes 201 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. It only comes mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Most likely, the same more powerful engine will be offered in India as well. The exact launch date for this new model is yet to be announced.
