India's First Mahindra BE 6 Electric SUV With Matte Wrap On Video

The Mahindra BE6 has already become a star car in the Indian market. Many celebrities, public figures and VIPs have already added this vehicle to their respective garages. A recent video shows an owner giving her BE6 a matte Red colourway.
Rebecca Santhosh, an actress and entrepreneur from Kerala, bought her BE6 in Tango Red. There are five colours on offer: Everest White, Desert Myst, Firestorm Orange, Tango Red, Deep Forest and Stealth Black.
Out of these, Mahindra offers just Desert Myst and Everest White in Satin finishes. Owing to its unique design, clean lines and surfaces, the BE6 looks great in Matte shade. The slight edginess of this design becomes even more likeable with the matte colourways.
Rebecca says that she had no idea on how the vehicle would look with the Matte Red colourway. The work was done at Mr Gubot, an exclusive PPF showroom in Kerala. The matte finish has been brought about by applying PPF (Paint Protection Film). Many of you might be familiar with the idea of applying a matte finish through a proper paint job.
Today, however, PPF can be used to give a matte finish to your vehicle's paint. It forms a clear, transparent film which creates a matte or satin appearance to the regular vehicle paint.
Look at the finished product... See how well the matte finish complements the lines and surfaces of the vehicles. The underlying paint colour shows through the film. The texture and finish are both great. The staff at Gubot claims that this is the first BE6 in the state to feature an aftermarket matte PPF treatment. At the time of writing this article, it has crossed 91.9K views.
Rebecca is a mini-screen actress and says that it was one of her colleagues who suggested Mr.Qubot. The reel is now amassing massive viewership on Instagram.
Mahindra has based the BE6 and XEV 9e on its new, in-house developed INGLO platform. This is a dedicated EV platform and therefore, has its wheels stretched to the four ends. With Pratap Bose at the design helm, Mahindra has adopted an out-of-the-box design approach in the BE6. The wheels are 20-inch units.
The interior has been smartly designed. It gets a dual-tone colourway. The EV comes well kitted, offering the likes of a dual-D cut steering wheel, hotkeys for single-pedal driving and Overboost, powered driver seat with memory function and manual lumbar support, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, selectable driving modes, 360-degree camera, wireless smartphone charger, frameless IRVM with auto-dimming function, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, massive glass roof with integrated lighting, and a level 2 ADAS suite.
Despite the roofline that tends to swoop down slightly, the rear seat offers ample room and comfort. The rear seat gets a split-folding function, an integrated armrest and features like charging ports and multimedia connectivity.
The INGLO platform is a high-voltage electric architecture. It is versatile and supports top hats of various forms. Various battery sizes are also supported. Mahindra offers two battery packs on the BE6- 59 kWh and 79 kWh - both sourced from BYD.
The electric motor powers the rear axle and can produce upto 280 hp and 380 Nm top-spec. The lower variants come with power outputs of 230 hp. Talking of range, the 59 kWh unit offers 535 km per charge while the larger unit delivers up to 682 km per charge.
