Careless Driver Drives Over Woman Biker's Foot: Caught On Camera [Video]

Riding a two-wheeler is something a lot of Indians do because it can easily be maneuvered in traffic and save a lot of time. However, riders of two-wheelers are often at risk, and a lot of times they get crashed into by cars, or sometimes they also crash into cars and other four-wheelers. Recently, a video has been shared online in which a car driver was seen driving over the foot of a woman rider at a traffic signal.
This video, showing a woman rider's foot getting run over, has been shared on YouTube. In this short clip, what happens is that there was a normal jam at a traffic signal, and a woman rider continued riding between the gap of two cars. Unfortunately, at one point, a grey Maruti Suzuki Celerio driver came very close to the woman rider and drove over her left foot.
We can note that as soon as the Celerio's front right wheel drove over the foot of the woman rider, she screamed extremely loudly. The video shows that she was crying in pain and was hitting the bonnet of the Celerio, asking him to back off. We can hear that the woman was suffering from a lot of pain. Most likely, she would have suffered from fractured bones.
What happens next is, after hitting the bonnet a few more times, she then rides her motorcycle ahead and parks it on the road. Soon after this, she goes in front of the car and starts shouting at the driver. The video does not show the exact reaction of the driver. However, most likely, he also panicked after driving over the woman rider's foot.
In this particular scenario, it may seem like the entire fault is of the Maruti Suzuki Celerio driver. However, he should have been more careful in this particular instance. It has to be mentioned that the woman rider is at fault as well. We are not victim-blaming here; however, generally, two-wheelers weaving through traffic get very close to cars, and a lot of times it's not possible for the car driver to know exactly where the foot of the rider is.
In this particular scenario as well, the woman rider squeezed in between the two cars, and her left foot must have been at a slightly farther distance from her bike. Hence, this unsuspecting car driver drove ahead, which eventually went over the woman's left foot. For this reason, when riding a two-wheeler in India, proper lane rules should be followed.
The above-shown incident is not the only time when a car ran over someone. Last year, a video went viral on the internet in which a Maruti Suzuki Ignis hatchback was seen completely driving over a Yamaha R15 rider. In this short video, what happened was that CCTV footage shows a Maruti Suzuki Ignis driving over an R15.
It was assumed at the beginning that the car driver was only driving over a bike. However, in just a couple of seconds, the video reveals that the car drives over the rider and the bike at the same time. We can note that the car completely drove over the head and body of the bike rider. And miraculously, this rider was unhurt, and he stood up like nothing happened. He was immediately helped by other people on the road.
