Abandoned Truck Tyre On Road Causes Rs 6 Lakh Damage To Toyota Innova Hycross [Video]

Indian roads are extremely dangerous, and most of the time, accidents on them are caused by the fault of others. Sometimes, other drivers on the road are not paying attention, and on other occasions, pedestrians do foolish things. Recently, a video showed how an idiot who left a truck tyre in the middle of a highway caused huge damage to a Toyota Innova Hycross. As per the video, the cost of repair after this incident has been reported to be Rs 6 lakh.

This video, showing the Toyota Innova Hycross crashing into a truck tyre, has been shared on YouTube. It comes courtesy of Prateek Singh on his channel. According to the creator of the video, this clip was shared with him by one of his viewers from Maharashtra. He adds that the viewer was traveling on the NH4B JNPT highway in his Toyota Innova Hycross.

It can be noted from the dashcam footage that it was during the night when a person on the road suddenly appeared. This particular person was about to cross the road with a truck tyre. However, as the Innova Hycross driver spotted this man, he flashed the high beams to signal him to stop.

According to the video, even though the driver took preventive action, this particular man on the road did not stop and continued walking ahead with the massive tyre. As soon as he realized that the Innova Hycross had come very close to him, he left the tyre on the road and ran backwards.

What happened next?

As a result of this carelessness, the tyre continued to roll ahead. Since there was no space between the tyre and the divider, the Innova Hycross driver could not avoid hitting it. Following this, the tyre crashed into the left side of the MPV and was thrown off the road.

We can also see in the video that a truck was closely following the Innova Hycross, but it managed to avoid the tyre. Thankfully, the crash was not extremely horrific, as the car driver was driving under the speed limit. According to the footage, the MPV was being driven at around 75–80 km/h.

Aftermath of this incident

After the incident, this particular Toyota Innova Hycross was taken to the dealership. It was noted that the front bumper, front left fender, and front left door were severely damaged. Additionally, the rear left door of this MPV also suffered heavy damage, and the curtain airbags on the left side were deployed as well.

According to the video, the cost estimate to repair this Toyota Innova Hycross is Rs 6 lakh. Whether this car is being repaired under insurance or the owner is paying this repair cost himself has not been revealed. However, our guess is that, as the vehicle is fairly new and the cost is high, it will be repaired with insurance.

Careless man ran away

This entire incident could have been avoided if the careless person carrying that tyre had stopped in time. It can also be noted in the video that even after the Innova Hycross had hit the tyre, the person did not attempt to stop it. Instead, he ran across the road, crossed the divider, and escaped.

Most likely, he wanted to avoid any confrontation with the owner of the Innova Hycross. However, we can note that due to this fear, the tyre left on the road could have caused another major incident on the highway. Thankfully, the tyre went to the side of the road on its own.
