Making the entire country of India proud, Gukesh Dommaraju, along with other Indian chess prodigies, has managed to secure two gold medals at the Chess Olympiad. Following this achievement, the 18-year-old Chess Grandmaster has become the proud owner of a brand-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class worth Rs 90 lakh. He was gifted this Mercedes-Benz luxury sedan by his school, Velammal Vidyalaya, which is part of the Velammal Nexus Group. It was presented to him at his felicitation ceremony at his school.

In this video, Sagar was invited to Chennai, Tamil Nadu, by Velammal Vidyalaya for the felicitation ceremony of Grandmaster Gukesh. For those who may not be aware, Velammal Vidyalaya is the school in which Gukesh studies and has received the backing to represent India at international chess tournaments.
Grandmaster Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa also belongs to this school. Over the years, this school has been under the guidance of 5-time Chess World Champion Viswanathan Anand. Velammal Vidyalaya has managed to give India a total of 15 out of the 83 Grandmasters.
The vlogger in the video first arrives in Tamil Nadu and then is taken to his hotel. Following this, the vlogger meets with Grandmaster Gukesh at his hotel. They both spend some quality time together, where Sagar Shah asks him a lot of questions. During the meet, Gukesh revealed that he has not been regular to school since the 4th standard.

Following their meet-up, when Grandmaster Gukesh was leaving, he was seen leaving the hotel in an autorickshaw. Soon after this, the next day, Sagar was taken to Velammal Vidyalaya, where he was shown around the school. He met with the upcoming chess players from the school.
Finally, after this, in the evening, the felicitation ceremony of Grandmaster Gukesh began. At the event, he was seen arriving in a Porsche Panamera 4S luxury sedan. Following this, he was then taken to the stage, where he was given a warm welcome.
After this, during his speech, Grandmaster Gukesh donated Rs 10 lakh for the recent Tamil Nadu flood victims. A few moments later, the chess prodigy was gifted a brand-new Polar White Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The exact variant gifted to Grandmaster Gukesh is unknown. However, the E-Class is currently priced from Rs 87 lakh to Rs 1.05 crore.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class
As stated, Chess Grandmaster Gukesh has been given a current-generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The company, however, is gearing up to launch the newest generation model in India. The upcoming model will be launched during Diwali. It is believed that it will make its official debut in the last week of October.
The upcoming Mercedes-Benz E-Class will feature a brand-new front-end design, new LED headlights, a new grille, and new alloy wheels. At the rear, it will get new LED taillights as well. On the inside, the new E-Class will come with a super screen featuring a 14.4-inch unit in the center and a 12.3-inch display for the front passenger.
As for the powertrain options, it will continue to come with the same four-cylinder petrol and diesel motors. The petrol-engined E-Class makes 194 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the diesel-engined model makes 197 bhp and 440 Nm of torque.
