Royal Enfield motorcycles have high aspirational values among Indian buyers. It is the dream of many to own one. Looks like this Indian dad just got his dream fulfilled by his daughter! A video of the daughter gifting a brand-new Royal Enfield Meteor 350 to her father is now gathering eyeballs on Instagram.

This video is from Kasargod, Kerala. It starts by showing the dad unveiling the gift from his daughter, together with her- a Royal Enfield Meteor 350 in Black. Then we see the family- the man, his wife, and two daughters, posing with the motorcycle, completing the paperwork and taking the delivery. Seeing the motorcycle, the man gets emotional. The day truly would have been one of the best in his life.

More interestingly, the wife is seen congratulating him on the new motorcycle. The video concludes by showing the dad riding the bike out of the dealership.

More About The Royal Enfield Meteor 350

Royal Enfield launched the Meteor 350 in India in 2020. Back then, the prices started at 1.75 lakh and went up to 1.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Today, the motorcycle is available in four trims/ variants- Fireball, Stellar, Aurora, and Supernova. Previously, only three used to be on sale. The ex-showroom price now ranges from 2.07 lakh to 2.32 lakh. The variant, in this case, seems to be the Fireball.

The Meteor is essentially the cruiser that replaced the older Thunderbird in Royal Enfield lineup. It brings in an all-new platform with improved features, updated styling, and a refined engine.

The design carries hints of the Thunderbird, especially the Thunderbird X. It features a classic cruiser look with a round headlamp that includes an LED daytime running light (DRL). The teardrop-shaped fuel tank, wide fenders, and pod-style tail light add to the charm.

A semi-digital instrument cluster is now standard, and the top-spec variant also comes with Tripper navigation. This colour TFT display shows turn-by-turn navigation using Google Maps.

The Meteor is built for long-distance comfort. The footpegs are forward-set, the handlebar is easy to reach, and the seat is wide and well-cushioned. With a seat height of just 765mm, it is accessible to most riders.

New Engine and Chassis

Powering the Meteor 350 is Royal Enfield's new-age 349cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder J-series engine. It produces 20.2 horsepower at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. This engine is fuel-injected and features a balancer shaft to reduce vibrations. An oil circuit in the head aids cooling.

The motorcycle uses a new double-downtube cradle frame which is stiffer than the previous Thunderbird's frame. At the front, it has 41mm telescopic forks with 130mm travel. The rear gets twin shock absorbers with six-step preload adjustment.

With a wheelbase of 1,400mm and a ground clearance of 170mm, the bike strikes a good balance for the Indian roads. The kerb weight stands at 191 kg, which is 6 kg lighter than the Thunderbird. Braking duties are handled by a 300mm disc at the front and a 270mm disc at the rear.

Royal Enfield also has a wide range of customisation options on offer, through the 'Make it Yours' programme. Buyers can pick from a range of options including exhaust designs, engine guards, different seats, windscreens, bar-end mirrors, forged footpegs, and multiple colour choices.
