Only In India: Disabled Man On Scooter Fights Using His Crutches! [Video]

Road rage and idiotic driving practices often lead to fights and drama on public roads. It isn’t rare that you come across news of people fighting each other after their vehicles rub against each other or get involved in crashes. In a recent video posted on Reddit, we get to see rather strange things happening. It shows a disabled man beating up a Mahindra Pik-up driver with his crutches. While the specifics of this incident aren’t known, how the event unfolds is worth a watch.

The video starts by showing the disabled person standing up from the ground. He’s got crutches in one of his hands. He rushes towards his scooter and gets on it. He then rides to the Mahindra Pik Up that’s seen parked in front of him. The vehicle has a covered high deck and is apparently loaded.

The scooter stops near the Mahindra’s driver’s door and the man is seen shouting at the pickup driver. Soon, he takes out his crutches and beats him up. The truck driver tries to resist, and soon opens the door, with the disabled person still continuing with his thrashes. The Mahindra guy somehow manages to get out- apparently for a better fight-back- and alarmed by this, the scooter rider quickly tries to flee. He makes a frantic ride-out attempt and in the process hits a Maruti Dzire that was parked nearby.

The specifics of this incident are unknown. We don’t have clarity on why the person was beating up the truck guy, and why he tried to flee. It is unclear if the fight was a payback for the truck hitting him down- which is not shown in the video, or if this was an attempt to loot. The chances for the latter are minimal though. Another possibility could be the disabled person being drunk or in an intoxicated stage at the time of the incident. Some of his actions suggest the same.

The video is, anyway, doing rounds on the internet. The Reddit post has the caption- India is not for beginners- and the same seems to have triggered many fellow Redditors. Many say in comments that the phrase needs to be avoided in videos such as these.

One comment reads “At this point, any stupid action and misbehaviour of idiotic Indians can be justified by “India is not for beginners. Sahi hai. India is for idiots, not for beginners.” This is, by far, the most precise explanation we’ve found for this incident. What you see in this video, is more idiotic than otherwise.

Some netizens even question the safety that you get on Indian roads. The roads being as vulnerable as a random man with crutches could pop up from nowhere and come beat you up with the same, and you’ll be left with no choice. He could beat you up, cause damage to your car or motorcycle and you’ll just have to stand there speechless- and probably come home and post ‘ India is not for beginners’ on Reddit!

Even in this case, imagine what happens to the Maruti Dzire owner. He did nothing and wasn’t probably even aware of the drama that was going on. In the end, the scooter runs into his car and he’d have to pay for the repairs for something that’s beyond his knowledge or scope.
