There has been a steady rise in the number of supercar and sports car owners in India. The majority of the people who own such expensive and exotic cars are men. There are women too; however, the number is very small compared to men. Here, we have a video of a woman entrepreneur from Kerala who owns a fleet of expensive and exotic cars. It wouldn’t be wrong to call her India’s or ‘Kerala’s Supercar Lady.’
The video has been shared by Baiju N Nair on his YouTube channel. In this video, the presenter introduces us to Dr. Fathima Nilufer Sheriff, CEO of “Therefore I’m,” which is a dermatology/cosmetology center with several branches in Kerala. They are currently planning to expand to other locations. Dr. Nilufer is a petrolhead and has several expensive and exotic cars in her collection.
Her first car was an Audi R8, and the only reason she didn’t go for any other brand was that she wanted to buy a car from a brand that has a service center. She stays in Kerala most of the time and could get her R8 serviced easily at the Audi service center. This is the thought process she has while buying all her cars.
Nilufer mentions that she is one of those people who like to buy and drive these cars as much as possible. When she bought the Audi R8, she used to drive the car from Trivandrum to Kochi. She used the car like this for years and mentions that she has an emotional connection with the car.
In the video, we see a brand new BMW X5, Mercedes-Maybach, Mercedes-Benz C300, Mini Countryman, and a Lamborghini Huracan. All these cars belong to Nilufer and her family.
She mentions that she loves driving each of her cars and that each car in her collection serves a purpose. The Maybach is taken out only when her father visits India. The X5 is extremely comfortable.
The Huracan and Audi R8 are extremely fun to drive on the roads, and the C300 can be used as a daily driver. She also has a Mini Countryman, which her mother recently bought. She mentions that she is not a big fan of Minis but found the Countryman to be quite powerful for its size.
Nilufer mentions that she always considers the availability of service centers as a factor while buying cars. This is one of the reasons she waited for so many years to buy a Lamborghini. Each car that she owns gives a different emotion, and Nilufer mentions that she doesn’t have the right words to describe it.
Driving a supercar like the Lamborghini is not an issue on Indian roads, and she drives the car in the video. She doesn’t like it when people give her too much attention and also does not like it when two-wheeler riders get too close to the car while trying to record a video for social media (for safety reasons). She does, however, appreciate how kids get excited when they see a supercar on the road.
