He explains the real reason why he bought this electric SUV over others and what he loves about it.
This unique owner's review of his brand-new Hyundai Creta Electric has been shared on YouTube by EVolution-Nick on their channel. It starts off with the host mentioning that today he will be interviewing an owner of a brand-new Hyundai Creta Electric. He then mentions that this owner has given a new perspective on electric vehicle ownership.
In this review video, the owner of this particular Hyundai Creta Electric was first asked about the variant and cost of his SUV. To this, he replies that he has bought the top-of-the-line Excellence Long Range variant, which comes with a 51.4 kWh battery pack. After this, the host asks him if he had other options in his mind which he looked at before making the purchase.
To this, he mentions that he looked at the MG Windsor EV, MG ZS EV, and the Mahindra BE 6 along with the BYD Atto 3. However, as the Windsor EV and BE 6 do not offer an openable panoramic sunroof, he did not choose those SUVs. He added that the BYD Atto 3 was rejected because it offered nearly the same range as the Creta Electric but was Rs 10 lakh more expensive.
The host then asked the owner about his average daily driving distance to justify this purchase. To this, the owner replied that he has not bought the Creta Electric to save on fuel cost. He added that although it is an added bonus that he does not need to wait for refueling.
He added that he has bought this EV SUV as he wanted to have the experience of owning an electric car with this new technology. The owner also mentions that he chose the Hyundai Creta Electric because it is a no-fuss and extremely reliable vehicle.
Following these questions, the owner was asked about the real-world range of the Hyundai Creta Electric. To this, he mentions that he drives his vehicle with a heavy foot on normal mode and sometimes in sport mode with air conditioning turned on at 17 degrees in the driver-only mode. He then states that with these settings, it offers him a range of 440–450 km on a single full charge.
This particular owner was then asked if the talk about the Hyundai Creta being not a born-electric platform vehicle bothers him. To this, he states that in real life, this narrative of a vehicle not being based on a born-electric platform makes no sense. He added that he does not care if the battery hangs a little lower. The owner also added that all of these things only matter on paper and not in real life. Overall, he highlighted that he is extremely happy with this purchase and he loves driving it every day.
