Hyundai Creta SUV Coupe: What It’ll Look Like

Hyundai Creta Coupe featured

Over the last few months, we have seen the launches of a few different coupe SUVs in India. These include the likes of the Tata Curvv, Citroen Basalt, and the Mahindra XEV 9E. All of these SUVs feature a sloping roofline, which gives them a unique design. Presently, Hyundai does not offer a coupe SUV in India. However, what if the company did decide to offer its popular mid-size SUV, Creta, with a sloping roofline? Well, here’s what it would look like.

The images of the Hyundai Creta imagined as a coupe SUV have been shared on Instagram by Jonathan Machado on their page. This particularly talented digital artist has taken a standard Hyundai Creta SUV and, with his imagination and Photoshop skills, has given it a coupe-like design at the rear.

Hyundai Creta Coupe Design Details

First off, let’s start with the front-right side of this SUV. We can note that the artist has not changed the front end drastically. It retains the same sporty design of the Hyundai Creta N-Line. The connected LED DRLs, vertically stacked LED headlights, sporty honeycomb grille, silver skid plate, and accents all have been kept the same.

However, when we move towards the side profile, we can note that the artist has changed a lot of things. It gets a more slanted A-pillar, which is necessary to give the SUV a sloping roofline in the rear. Also, the alloy wheels are much larger on this rendered version. We can also observe that the door panels are slightly different.

The overall shoulder line sits much higher, and the windows have also been shrunk in size to keep the flow of the coupe roofline. As for the main highlight, we can note that the C-pillar tapers down a lot, which gives this Creta its unique coupe-like design. The rear quarter window is also larger than the standard model.

Moving to the rear end of this Creta coupe, the artist has given it a wing on the bonnet. Also, to keep it looking like a Creta, the connected LED taillights have been retained as well. The rear also features a sporty rear diffuser with twin-port exhaust tips on the right side. Overall, the design looks very well thought out, and its execution is also perfect.

The artist has also shared an image of the interior of the Creta coupe SUV. However, it is exactly the same as the N-Line variant of the standard Creta. Hyundai offers the Creta N-Line with an all-black interior with sporty red accents throughout the cabin. Its list of features includes 10.25-inch dual displays, a signature N-Line steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and many others.

Is Hyundai planning to launch a Creta coupe SUV in India?

Sadly, the answer to this question is no. Hyundai India, at the moment, has not revealed any plans to launch a coupe version of the Creta or any other SUV from its lineup. Hyundai, however, is currently gearing up for the launch of the new Creta EV. The brand’s first mass-market electric SUV will be launched at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo on 17th January.

The new Creta EV will most likely feature a closed-off grille, new front and rear bumpers, and a few other EV-specific design cues. As for the powertrain, it is expected to be offered with a 45-50 kWh battery pack, which could provide it with a real-world driving range of 400-500 km. Pricing will start at around Rs 20 lakh.
