India’s Billionaire Tata Car Owners: Sridhar Vembu To N Chandrasekaran

Tata is one of the leading car manufacturer in India. They are known for making sturdy cars and that has been one of the major selling points for this Indian manufacturer. The build quality of Tata cars have been a talking point on the internet for a while now. This has attracted a lot of buyers and even famous celebrities and billionaires have bought Tata cars. Here we have a list of Indian billionaires who actually own a Tata car.

Sridhar Vembu

Billionaire businessman Sridhar Vembu is the CEO of Zoho Corporation. Unlike other billionaires, Vembu leads a different lifestyle. He uses a humble Tata Nexon EV and couple of electric autorickshaws to for his local commute. He owns the pre-facelift Nexon ev in its signature Teal Blue shade. It looks like Mr. Vembu owns that Nexon EV Max variant.

Rajesh Hiranandani

The billionaire Rajesh Hiranandani, known for his jolly nature, is a proud owner of a Tata Nano. He has been seen with his humble red Tata Nano on numerous occasions. He once shared a video of himself arriving at the Jio Convention Centre in this tiny hatchback and handing it over to the valet.

Motilal Oswal

Next billionaire in the list is none other than Mr. Motilal Oswal. The owner of Motilal Oswal Financial Services Limited took delivery of a Tata Safari Dark Edition. He was one of the first popular personalities to buy the facelifted version of the Tata Safari. He has actually posted on social media that he turning desi and won’t be buying foreign cars anymore.

The Safari is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel engine and comes with both manual and automatic transmission. This engine generates 170 Ps and 350 Nm of peak torque. It even comes with features like Level 2 ADAS.

N Chandrasekaran

The current chairman of Tata Sons and Motors is also someone who appreciates the efforts by the brand. He bought not one but, two Tata Nexon EV. He bought the first Nexon EV soon after it was launched in 2019. However, he bought the second one in 2020. It was in fact the 50,000th unit of electric car and both his cars are finished in white shade. The second Nexon EV is the Max variant which offers better range and along with a bigger battery pack.

Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is the only actress on this list. Madhuri along with her husband Dr. Shriram Nene own several expensive and exotic cars. It looks like Mr. Nene admires electric cars a lot and he has shared his admiration for the same on several occasions. The couple had bought a Tata Nexon EV Dark Edition. He appreciated the quick delivery and mentioned that he is very impressed with the car.

The couple bought the pre-facelift version and they bought the Nexon EV at a time when the demand was pretty high. It is in fact the best selling electric SUV in the Indian market. Madhuri Dixit probably bought the Dark Edition version of the Prime of the Medium range variant that was available on sale back then.
