Hyderabad Woman Buys Kawasaki Ninja ZX4RR Sports Bike In California: Takes Delivery With Traditional Indian Rituals

Biking culture in India has changed over the years. With the entry of international brands at affordable prices many youngsters have opted for performance motorcycles. Many of them have started riding, and many women have also come forward. Here we have a video where a woman from Hyderabad gets her newly bought sports bike blessed by a priest as per Indian rituals in California.
The video has been posted by Deepika R on her Instagram page. Deepika is actually a blogger and also a professional racer. She is the TVS National Champion from 2021. She is originally from Hyderabad, and after checking her Instagram profile, it looks like she has moved to California for studies.
She posted the video of her new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR sports bike getting blessed by a priest on her social media profile. After the traditional Indian rituals are done, she rides the bike forward. A lemon is kept in front of both the front and rear tyres to ward off the evil eye, and we also see her break open a coconut in front of the bike.
This is not the first time we have seen something like this, but it is actually a perfect example that shows how Indians, even after moving to other countries, embrace their traditional values and practices. In fact, we have even seen foreigners perform Indian rituals on their cars after falling in love with these traditions.
Deepika posted the video with the caption: “Welcome my pocket rocket ❤️❤️❤️❤️?? one step closer to living life fully ?? truly grateful #motorcycle #zx4rr #kawasaki #ninja #zx #pooja” Almost everyone in the comments section is seen congratulating her on her new bike. She bought the bike in Kawasaki’s signature Green and Black shade.
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR is a sports bike and is a higher-spec variant of the ZX-4R. The motorcycle is available only in limited numbers in India, unlike the ZX-4R. The 4RR gets a bidirectional quickshifter, adjustable suspension, and the Kawasaki Green shade - these elements differentiate it from the 4R.
The motorcycle is powered by a 399 cc inline 4-cylinder engine that generates 79 Bhp and 39 Nm of peak torque. It comes with dual-channel ABS, LED headlamps, DRLs, a digital instrument cluster, and more. The price of a brand new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR in India is around Rs 9.42 lakh (ex-showroom).
As mentioned above, this is not the first time we have come across a video like this online. Recently, we saw a post featuring a woman who is a young entrepreneur from Bengaluru performing religious rituals as per Indian tradition on her newly bought Suzuki Hayabusa superbike.
This made the news because we usually don’t see many women buying an expensive and heavy bike like the Suzuki Hayabusa. She adorned her full-black superbike with a garland. A brand new Suzuki Hayabusa has a starting price of Rs 16.91 lakh (ex-showroom). Many celebrities, like John Abraham, own the current-generation Hayabusa, and this particular model gained popularity after the release of the Bollywood movie Dhoom.
