Bollywood Actor Jaaved Jaaferi Buys Mahindra XEV 9E Electric SUV [Video]
Mahindra launched the XEV 9E and BE 6 in the market, and from last month onwards, they have started deliveries as well. In the past month, we have come across several videos of people taking delivery of their new Mahindra EVs. Some popular personalities and celebrities were also among them. Bollywood actor Jaaved Jaaferi is the latest celebrity from Bollywood to buy the Mahindra XEV 9E. A video of him talking about his new EV has now gone online.
The video has been shared by Mahindra NBS International on their Instagram page. In this video, we see Bollywood actor, dancer, and comedian Jaaved Jaaferi standing next to his brand-new Mahindra XEV 9E. He was among the celebrities who booked this futuristic-looking EV from Mahindra.
Jaaved Jaaferi talks about the overall experience in this video. He mentions that this is his first EV, and he was excited because he feels that Mahindra makes fantastic cars. He is a big fan of the brand and Mr. Anand Mahindra.
The sturdy build quality, performance, range, technology, and features all added to the overall experience of the car.
Jaaved Jaaferi mentions that when he drove the car for the first time, he was blown away by the way it drives. In fact, it was unlike anything the actor had driven in the past — including Tesla. He was impressed with the cabin insulation and also the ride quality of the XEV 9E.
These were some of the reasons why he got the SUV for himself. He is not the only celeb who has bought a Mahindra EV. Recently, popular Bollywood actor and director Anurag Kashyap and Danish Devgn, who is a director and nephew of actor Ajay Devgn, also bought a brand-new XEV 9E.
Jaaved Jaaferi bought the electric SUV in the Desert Myst shade. Mahindra is currently delivering only the top-end Pack Three variant, so it is safe to assume that the actor got the same variant.
Mahindra XEV 9E
In terms of design, Mahindra has managed to carry forward most of the elements that we first saw in the concept. The XEV gets a muscular yet premium-looking design. It is an SUV based on Mahindra’s INGLO platform and has been developed from scratch. This platform was specifically developed for EVs. The front fascia features drop-down LED DRLs with a connecting LED bar.
Like most modern Mahindra vehicles, the XEV 9E is also a feature-loaded SUV. It gets premium features like three large 12.30-inch screens on the dashboard, which Mahindra calls the “Cinemascope Cockpit.” Additionally, Mahindra provides two screens for rear-seat passengers to ensure they don’t miss out on entertainment.
Other features include VisionX Augmented Reality HUD, MAIA (Mahindra Artificial Intelligence Architecture), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor, 24 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of internal storage.
The SUV also comes with seven airbags, Level 2+ ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and more. Other notable features include leatherette upholstery with seat ventilation, electrically adjustable seats, an infinity glass roof with dynamic lights, and multi-zone climate control.
The electric SUV is available with two battery pack options. The lower variants get a 59 kWh battery pack, while the higher variants get a 79 kWh battery. The smaller battery version generates 228 Bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque, offering a claimed range of 542 km. The bigger 79 kWh variant generates 282 Bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque, with a claimed range of 656 km.
The price for a brand-new Mahindra XEV 9E starts at ₹21.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹30.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
