Jailed Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar Buys Rolls Royce Spectre? What's Going On!

Sukesh Chandrashekhar is a name that has been in the news for quite some time. He has been in Tihar Jail, Delhi, for years. He was accused of committing a fraud of ₹200 crore from businessmen. Sukesh had actually extorted money from the wives of former promoters of Ranbaxy and had promised to secure bail for the company’s promoters.
The conman has now shared a new post on his X profile where he claims that he has bought a Rolls-Royce Spectre. What’s going on? Let’s try to find out.
The post has been shared by Sukesh Chandrashekhar on his X profile. If you are wondering how he is able to access the internet while behind bars, the account is handled by his PR team, and it is they who posted the picture.
The post says: “Recently someone told me money can’t buy happiness or freedom, but guess what — whoever said that simply didn’t know where to go shopping. — BO DEREK. Thank you @RollsRoyce for this smooth and special delivery. Can’t wait to drive.”
This caption has been posted with a generic image of a Rolls-Royce Spectre. The post has tagged Rolls-Royce as well as Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez.
The post doesn’t show the image of an actual car. So we cannot be sure if he actually bought the car or is simply bluffing. This is not the first time something like this has been posted from Sukesh’s social media profile, and there is no way to verify if it is true or not.
Sukesh was in Tihar Jail and was later transferred to Mandoli Jail in Delhi after he approached the court alleging that his life was in danger. Sukesh was one of those people known to lead a lavish lifestyle, and the probe agencies had seized over 26 cars—both luxury and exotic—from his garage.
The Rolls-Royce Spectre is an extremely special car in the Rolls-Royce lineup. It is the first-ever electric vehicle manufactured by Rolls-Royce. The electric Rolls-Royce has a starting price of around ₹7.50 crore. Depending on the customisations, the price can go up.
Although it is an EV, Rolls-Royce has not compromised on the design. It continues to feature the signature Rolls-Royce grille with the Spirit of Ecstasy on the bonnet. The colour of the bonnet and the grille can be customised as per the customer’s request. The coupe-like sloping roof meets the tailgate of the electric car.
Just like any Rolls-Royce, the Spectre is also feature-loaded. Apart from the extremely silent cabin, the Spectre comes with features like a starlight roof, premium leather upholstery, wooden and glass panel inserts on the dashboard, electric seats, multi-zone climate control, and so on.
The multi-crore EV is powered by a 102 kWh battery pack. It generates 593 PS and 900 Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to all four wheels. The Spectre EV has a claimed range of 520 km and can do 0–100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. This is impressive for a car that weighs around 3 tonnes.
