The legendary South African cricket player Jonty Rhodes currently stays in India with his wife and kids. He resides in the beautiful state of Goa, and he enjoys driving around the city with his family. Recently, Mahindra Automotive shared a video online in which the cricketer-turned-professional coach and commentator was seen driving around Goa in his Mahindra XUV300. In this video, he shows the best cafes in the city, according to him and his wife.
Jonty Rhodes Drives His Mahindra XUV300
It starts off with the cricketer and his wife, Melanie Wolf, taking out their blue-colored Mahindra XUV300 sub-compact SUV. They mention that they have a ton of different cafes and restaurants where they like to go as a couple and also with their kids. Following this, they sit in their car and start heading towards their first cafe, where they usually have breakfast after leaving their kids at school.
The name of this cafe is “The Mill,” and Jonty and his wife mention that they have a ton of healthy breakfast dishes on the menu, which they love to have. They add that the aesthetics of this place are also very nice, and they love spending their mornings here. After this, they once again start driving their car.
Jonty states that although the roads in Goa are connected, they can sometimes become very narrow, so the car they are driving has to go off-road. However, as the suspension of the XUV300 is very comfortable, they cannot feel any bumps. They also highlight that they love the cabin of this SUV as well.
Next up, Jonty Rhodes goes to his second favorite cafe for breakfast – Casa Jaali. He states that this cafe is very near to his kids’ school, so sometimes, when he is alone, he likes to come and sit. He adds that the view here is amazing as well as the food. We can note that Jonty Rhodes was enjoying a masala dosa along with a beautiful view.
Following this, in the evening, the cricketer, along with his wife and kids, again takes out their XUV300 and drives to another restaurant. He mentions that this restaurant is owned by the parents of his son’s best friend from school. After this, they reach the last destination, which is their favorite shack in Goa.
Jonty Rhodes mentions that he loves the butter chicken and butter naan from this shack. His elder son also highlights that whenever he comes from South Africa, he likes eating the same dish as his father. During this, he also highlights that he loves the Mahindra XUV300 because of its powerful air conditioning system and infotainment system, which offers wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The Mahindra XUV300 is the brand’s most affordable SUV. It starts at Rs 7.79 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 15.49 lakh. In total, there are 25 variants to choose from. In addition to the Mahindra XUV300, Jonty Rhodes also owns an electric blue-colored Mahindra XUV700. He has shared a few videos with this SUV and has mentioned that it is a very good vehicle and offers all the creature comforts that he and his family need.
