This Lamborghini Huracan Replica Is Completely Made-In-India From Scratch [Video]

Many of us reading this story would have grown up with a poster of a supercar on their room’s wall. Some manage to turn the dream of owning a supercar into reality, while others haven’t. There is another section of people who are so passionate about cars that they decide to build one themselves. Here, we have one such passionate car lover from Kerala who decided to build a Lamborghini Huracan replica from scratch at home.
The video has been shared by Arun Smoki on his YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger talks to Bibin, who works in the QA department of a company in Kerala. He loved cars as a kid and decided to start the project to build the car of his dreams at home. He started the work three years ago and has managed to complete only 70–80 percent of it.
The reason for the delay is a financial crunch along with time constraints. Bibin has a full-time job and works on this project only after coming back from the office. He is also paying close attention to detail, which is another reason why it is taking him so much time to finish the project.
He mentions that he built this Lamborghini Huracan replica from scratch. He bought channel pipes and other parts from hardware shops and scrapyards for this project. He sourced the parts, assembled them, and built everything at home. He used metal pipes to create the body frame. On these frames, he fixed cardboard sheets and later did fiberglass work on top to achieve the desired design.
He took the original dimensions of the Huracan, and when he tried sourcing wheels of the same size, they were too expensive. So, he bought Maruti Alto wheels and designed the car based on those wheels.
This way, the overall design of the car looks proportionate, and the wheels do not look odd. The size of the Huracan replica is definitely smaller than the original for the same reason. The fit and finish of the exterior bodywork and the panels are also great.
It even comes with butterfly doors, and the engine is placed at the rear. He borrowed the engine from a Maruti 800 and made a custom exhaust, which was also fabricated at home. It even comes with a nose lift feature.
He connected a car jack to a small wiper motor, which lifts and lowers the nose and height of the car with the touch of a button. The vlogger and the creator go for a short spin, and it is very evident that it’s not yet perfect. However, it’s also very clear that the effort Bibin has put into the project is worth mentioning.
It is also one of the cleanest and most proportionate-looking Lamborghini Huracan replicas we have seen in India to date. It definitely looks promising. The owner mentions that such a project requires funds, and if he gets them, he can finish the exterior and interior work of the car soon.
He has spent around ₹1.5 lakh on the project so far, and only 70 percent of the work is complete. It is definitely a great example of a replica car, and the best part about this project, when it gets finished, is that this Lamborghini will be fully made in India.
