Bollywood Actor Kunal Khemu Becomes First Celebrity To Buy A BMW CE 02 Electric Scooter Worth Rs 4.5 Lakh

Bollywood actor Kunal Khemu is actually a passionate biker, and we have seen several videos and images of him with expensive bikes in his collection. He is active on social media, and we have seen several posts of him riding the motorcycles too. However, we have now come across a new video where he is seen riding a very unique electric two-wheeler. He was seen on a BMW CE 02 electric scooter.

The video has been shared by ETimes on its Facebook page. In this video, we see actor Kunal Khemu walking towards a parking lot on the roadside. He is wearing a helmet and walks towards a bunch of bikes that are parked on the roadside.

We feel he didn’t remove the helmet to avoid unnecessary attention from fans. Usually, we see actors walking around with personal security, but Kunal seemed to be alone in this video. He gets on a very unique-looking scooter and then rides it away. This is actually a BMW CE 02. It was launched in the Indian market last year, and we feel Kunal Khemu is probably the only celebrity to own this.

This is actually a very unique product. During the launch, BMW had said that this is neither a scooter nor a motorcycle. The CE 02 is actually manufactured at TVS’s facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. It may look like a TVS XL100 or moped, but this is one of the most expensive electric scooters on sale in the country.

The BMW CE 02 gets a very unique monkey bike-like design. It is designed as a city scooter and uses a 3.92 kWh battery pack (a pack of two 1.96 kWh batteries) which generates a maximum of 15 PS and 55 Nm of peak torque.

This tiny electric scooter from BMW is being positioned as an alternative to the 160cc – 200cc motorcycles in the market. The electric scooter weighs around 142 kg and has a seat height of 745 mm. This means the scooter is great for short riders and is easy to ride within the city.

The electric scooter offers a claimed range of 108 km and a top speed of 95 km/h. It comes with gold anodized USD forks, teal stickering, a tri-coloured seat, heated grips, and a smartphone holder.

Your phone can act as an extension of the 3.5-inch TFT instrument cluster if you have BMW’s application installed on your phone. The BMW CE 02 comes with two riding modes as standard. An additional riding mode is available for those who opt for the Highline package. Currently, the BMW CE 02 is available in only one colour. BMW is offering different luggage options and visors as optional accessories for the electric scooter. The price for a brand-new BMW CE 02 is Rs 4.5 lakh, ex-showroom.

Apart from the CE 02, Kunal Khemu also owns bikes like the BMW R 1250 GS, Ducati Scrambler, and Harley-Davidson Iron 883. He was also spotted riding an MV Agusta Brutale that belonged to actor Saif Ali Khan, who is also his brother-in-law.
