The fire occurred on 26/12/2024, at around 10:20 PM. Reports say that it could be extinguished within 45 minutes. This video was shot after the fire was put out. The extinguishing foam can be seen on the front windshield and the hood. The car can be seen being started and driven into a flatbed. The onlookers can be seen surprised by the fact that a burnt-down Lamborghini could spring back to life and be driven again!

The Lamborghini involved in this incident is an Orange Huracan EVO with Gujarat (GJ) registration plate. In a previous video, we can see the car catching fire. It shows the Orange Lamborghini emitting fumes and smoke from its rear and the owner standing closeby with a fire extinguisher. His attempts, however, did not work and the car soon got into flames!

From the video, it looks like a fire had broken out in the engine bay, as you can see both flames and smoke there. The cause of this fire remains unknown as per reports,  but it could be overheating. The Huracan has a mid-mounted naturally aspirated V10.

Some owners tend to rev the car extremely hard at traffic signals, just to flaunt the exhilarating exhaust sound. This could melt plastic and fiber parts. These could then fall into the hot engine components and pipes, further heat up and could even get ignited. This could end up in the car catching fire! Electrical issues and short circuits can also cause fires.

Gautam Singhania Shares This Incident!

Raymond’s Billionaire CEO Gautam Singhania shared the video with a caption that reads ““Spotted by me: A Lamborghini engulfed in flames on Coastal Road, Mumbai. Incidents like this raise serious concerns about the reliability and safety standards of Lamborghini. For the price and reputation, one expects uncompromising quality—not potential hazards.”

Now this reference to quality has a back story! Previously Singhania was spotted driving a brand new Lamborghini Revuelto on Mumbai roads and many believed that he had already made the purchase. It was in fact, him taking a test drive of Lambo’s newest offering for India.

Singhania says that the Revuelto had a complete electrical failure during the drive and broke down on the trans-harbour link road, leaving the billionaire stranded! The CEO took it to Twitter blaming the brand for poor product quality.
